Good Move for Cotto - I hope he excels in his promotional ventures as he excelled in his boxing career.

Cotto - One of the best boxers today! Period.

      Everybody's copying the PROMOTIONS fad

Golden Boy Promotions, then Mayweather Promotions, then Cotto Promotions... it's just too common now. Cotto is cool, but I think he should have Promotions company a different name. What next? Marquez Promotions? Margarito Promotions? Pacman Promotions? It's getting played out.

Floyd would have always wiped the floor with Cotto. Still
don't understand why people think Cotto was a threat to
Floyd. Cotto is the same fighter he was before. The only
difference is once Cotto stepped up his comp, his style of fighting
wasn't effective anymore. Floyd was and still is too smart for
Cotto in the ring technically. I would have love to see it when
Cotto was undefeated but don't think it would have mattered.

At least he stepped up his competition, a thing Floyd hasn't done in his whole career. Floyd most relevant fights:

Gatti - out of his prime, old went through wars before Floyd
De la Hoya - 35 years old, out of his prime
Mosley - 39 years old, layoff of 16 months before Floyd
Hatton - champion at 140 fought Floyd at 147
Marquez - 36 years old, not to mention he is a lightweight
Corrales - couldn't make the weight when he fought Floyd (dehidrated)

The only real prime fighter who Floyd fought was Castillo and lost the first fight. Floyd really is the smartest fighter out there making people think he would have beaten all the fighters that he ducked.

i agree it's definitely getting played out... **** even manny pacquiao decided to call his company MP Promotions (short for the obvious: Manny Pacquiao). these guys are intelligent enough to come up with more interesting names... at least ODH went with his nickname instead of his real name...

why not give him a chance?? You win the fights in the ring.

                      I disagree........

This is to the guy who said that MAYWEATHER would wipe the floor with COTTO. I DON'T THINK SO! He may outpoint COTTO but COTTO could outpoint him as well mabe even stop him if he has anything left which I'm sure he does. If it weren't for the weight stipulation of the PACQUIAO fight, mabe he would have K.O.ed PAC. ANYONE ever think about it that way? So, although it was his fought for signing under those conditions, he still only has ONE REAL LOSS. I would like to see a rematch at 147 and no catch-weight with PAC. Tired of you so called fans who think MAYWEATHER is some kind of RING RULER when he cleraly doesn't want any part of a fighter who can truley defeat him. At least COTTO fights for competition and history and will fight the guy noone thinks he can beat. Can't say the same for Mr. MAYWEATHER ey?
