It is a good deal for both sides. Cotto will find the venues and GBP will get the tv.
Cotto's promotion get the recognition in the US. He is also planning to have some cards in Miami and New York. If I remember correctly. Miguel Cotto promotion's banner was on the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight.

Especially when that foothold is being helped by one of Top Ranks main guys, that is not good business no matter how you slice it.
cosign this move confirms that oscar and cotto are looking to take over p.r. with all the talent thats there. cotto's the most popular fighter in p.r. and oscar is oscar so they cant definitely take over.

Cotto is a sell out. Why don't he team up with Winky instead since he's more respected in Puerto Rico than Oscar is?

cuz oscar's dough makes winky look poor.

Floyd. Cotto is the same fighter he was before. The only
difference is once Cotto stepped up his comp, his style of fighting
wasn't effective anymore. Floyd was and still is too smart for
Cotto in the ring technically. I would have love to see it when
Cotto was undefeated but don't think it would have mattered.
Lol and the Grustler defensive reflex kicks in...how dare they attack the king! lol

Gatti - out of his prime, old went through wars before Floyd
De la Hoya - 35 years old, out of his prime
Mosley - 39 years old, layoff of 16 months before Floyd
Hatton - champion at 140 fought Floyd at 147
Marquez - 36 years old, not to mention he is a lightweight
Corrales - couldn't make the weight when he fought Floyd (dehidrated)

The only real prime fighter who Floyd fought was Castillo and lost the first fight. Floyd really is the smartest fighter out there making people think he would have beaten all the fighters that he ducked.
I take nothing away from Miguel Cotto because he is indeed
a throw back fighter but lets not forget that Floyd started
professionally at 130 and Cotto at 140 and when Floyd moved
up to 140 Cotto STILL wasn't ready to fight Floyd so whatever
with you talking and down playing Floyd's competition. Anyway
this isn't about Floyd it is about Cotto. Just wanted to let my
thoughts out. I'm glad Cotto is doing business with Oscar.
Arum threw Cotto to the Wolves too many times. Cotto is
almost at the end of his boixng career according to him so
this is a good step. I wish him the best.

Ha ha ha! You got jokes. I just was replying to a post. Cotto
gets my respect eventhough I wasn't totally sold on him from
the beginning and have been vocal about it. He deserves to
                    cash in.

Before Margarito Cotto was a beast.
