Here's the thing though. The guys who are booking the second and third rate athletes are boxing promoters. Strikeforce doesn't make the fights. ShoBox does. So while a Bobby Lashley fight or a Herschel walker fight makes it to the main card, really good fights like Beerbohm/Riberio or KID Yamamoto get forgotten on the undercard or shown on the internet when the MMA media throws a fit about ShoBox being idiots.

And might I remind everyone it was a boxing promoter that made Kimbo an MMA fighter.

They are a little small for MMA though, lighter classes for MMA are pretty recent and still I don't even know if they go under 150 to be honest
145 down are the most exciting and hungry divisions in MMA so far. Go look for Chang Sung Jung vs. Leonard Garcia. or Bowling vs. Volker.

If Manny dedicated some ground training for a couple years with his boxing, he'd make a hell of an impact in 135 and 145.

Floyd would have a bit more difficult time.

lol and james toney would knock brock lesnar/shane carwin/fedor emelianenko the **** out in a boxing match, i'd say that's more embarassing.

actually, i wouldn't be surprised if alexander bradley or pac beat their asses in boxing.

it wouldn't be so funny if mma fans didn't hype these guys' "striking" up so much. they wouldn't so much as lay a glove on a real boxer in the ring.

How would boxers defend leg and elbow strikes?

i said in a boxing ring.

it's just a fact, a c level boxer would mop the floor with the best mma strikers in a boxing ring.

yeah, most boxers would get submitted in mma, but that goes both ways homie. even an old shane mosley could prolly stretch shane carwin out in a boxing ring. he doesn't have a quarter of the punching and defensive ability mosley has.

Again, what do you mean by "striking"?

If you're talking about laying hands, sure, I'll give you that, but what about legs an elbows?

If Adamek was to find himself in front of a Cheik Kongo or Pat Barry, what would be the strategy for those weapons?

^ lol a MMA fighter would be dead if they came close enough to throw an elbow. They can't even catch a boxer much less land a elbow strike. Kicking is for **** and you could easily just use superior footwork to avoid it. The first thing tim sylvia through at ray mercer was a leg kick and he got dropped.
