No there are quit a bit of openings in his high guard, which is why I'm glad Manny faced Clottey and Floyd faced Shane. As soon as that happened my confidence in Manny beating Floyd with up even more....peace

can you explain why? i agree the floyd won't be able to counter as much off the high guard but clottey is a punching bag and overrated by boxing heads.

He probably thinks Pacquiao's combination punching/ quick in and out movement will enable Pacquiao to hit Mayweather's high guard/ get some punches through; then move away. I hope he doesn't think that

Clottey stimulated a lot of things Floyd will uses against Manny, and honestly Manny failed at times but was successful at times as well. Manny issues wehre he was messing up are so easy to correct, so I'm not as worried as most people are.

Actually I think it's the opposite. The shoulder roll is better defensively but the high guard is better to punch out off.

Exactly. That is why fighters lose to Floyd. They just think of him as a light hitter who just defends.

Clottey was a shell.

Floyd high guards, shoulder rolls, comes forward, moves backwards, counters, moves on his feet, leads with hooks and straight right, is faster on the release, goes to the body, has lateral movement and actually fights to win rounds...

Clottey does NONE of that. So a shell defense comparison is mute when it comes to Floyd. Floyd is more than defense and his defense is more than a 12 round survival shell.
