My Dad said its bigger than Tyson-Holyfiels which is why I made the thread and he said thats the craziest fight build up hes ever seen.
Bigger than Tyson vs. Holyfield, up there with Ali-Frazier 1, maybe equal to Ali-Frazier 3.

    Actually, I'd say it's as big as Ali-Frazier 3.

Fights like Louis-Schmeling, Ali-Frazier 1, and Holmes-Cooney are not just about boxing. Those fights were about more than boxing.

But, in terms of real life meaning. It does not come close to Louis-Schmelling and Ali-Frazier the first fight.
Exactly, it will be the biggest fight in history money wise but i still think that Louis vs Schmelling was much bigger it terms of repercutions and what it meant on the world stage.

Definitely the biggest fight ever. Surpasses DLH/Trinidad and ALI/Frazier.

It will be surprisingly one sided, though.

Right on. Louis-Schmeling II is probably the MOST important fight of all time!

I meant not at war with Germany.

I dont have any kinds words about the "war" the United States is involved in now and I really dont want to go there right now. But with that said hope your kids make it back. Im about to have a daughter and shes not even born and I couldnt imagine losing her.

Money wise, this MIGHT be the biggest fight ever. It depends on ESPN and other large sports networks coverage. They were HUGE on Oscar/Floyd. That so far is the biggest MONEY WISE to date. It will definitely be the most one sided big fight IMO.

Biggest fight out of significance IMO is definitely Louis/Schemling. Ali-Fraizer 2nd.

This should be the biggest fight ever.

Most things have gone global now. Everyone can have their news updated every minute, 24/7.

And for those who see this as some kind of a contest between two countries, or races if you want, don't even go there. Once you become a big celebrity these days, you become automatically a world citizen. Everyone wants to root for you regardless of where you come from.

I agree, though, that is is strictly boxing. It should have no significance at all on everyone's personal life and outside of it.

Once it's over, it's over. It's pure entertainment.

I was trying not to get my hopes up for the fight until it is signed because I really don't want to get disappointed, but this thread just made me salivate for this fight more. Damn you TS!
