PPv numbers for the Mayweather vs Mosely garnered 1.4million. 2 americans in their homeland. While Pacman who is a foreigner who fought cotto (a foreigner as well) who is just as popular as mosely got 1.3 million ppv.

So I would say based on popularity their both equals knowing pac cotto are both foreigners and getting those huge numbers.

Mayweather keeps on saying it was him not Delahoya who made the 2.4 million record for ppv now we know it was really DELAHOYA who had all the fans- 2.4million.

Note: Mosely owns the gate for number of attendance in the staple center. It shows how big a draw he is.

Plus, don't forget that there are "no" 24/7 and huge marketing, commercials for the Pacquiao Clottey fight.

24/7 and commercials where done only for the Mayweather, Mosely and Pacquiao Cotto fight.
And Mosely has been in more PPV fights than Cotto

First off let me say we talking bout "Manny Pacquiao" he might not be from the states, but he carries a house hold name just like Cotto or tito.

Pac vs Cotto did 1.2 (correction)

Pac vs Marquez 1 & 2 didnt even do nothing but a few 100k combined

Pac vs Oscar did about 900k

Pac vs Hatton didnt even touch a million buys

Pac vs Clottey did 700k and that fight was HYPED UP...the didnt have 24/7 but they had "Road To Dallas"..and a "Face Off"


Floyd on the other had was retired 2 years and broke a million fighting Marquez.

Floyd vs Hatton broke a million easy & hatton had only fought twice on US soil.

pacquiao is obviously a more important figure across the globe. he is more popular world wide. is he more known? probably, but not by much.

how ever, the numbers don't lie either. mayweather's ******* attitude, undefeated record, and undeniable skills have made him a lot of money. fact is though, they both draw a near equal amount, mayweather having the slight edge. mosley vs may drew 1.4 while cotto vs pac drew 1.25. both are very close. id say mosley is a bit more known, and was coming off of a bigger win, but what ever you could argue cotto was younger, hotter, and had a more devoted following.
