holmes is better than ANYONE lewis has ever fought.

    holmes schools him.

lewis only chance is a ko. holmes took a shavers right flush and got back up. i think he can handle a lewis right.

Holmes had a better jab, much better chin, better, boxing skills, better stamina, better speed, better accuracy. Lewis was a little bigger and had more reach and power. Holmes by TKO.

In the Cooney fight, Holmes was down on two of the cards after 12 rounds without the 3 points deducted from Gerry for low blows. If Gerry fricken Cooney can outbox Holmes over 12, Lennox Lewis certainly can.

It took Larry 13 rounds to take glass chinned Cooney out of there, it's extremely doubtful he gets Lennox out of there, at all.

But Holmes had a great chin and recovered well when hurt. So I'd say Lennox UD.

            Definitely Larry Holmes
The best Jab in the business, good power, good stamina
Lennox's weak chin wouldn't stand up

No one watching that fight objectively could possibly have had Cooney ahead even without the point deductions. The judges in question where scoring EVERY close round for Cooney which had much more to do with Holmes' extreme unpopularity with the boxing establishment than anything Cooney was doing in the ring. And since when is Cooney glass-jawed? The only person to score a clean KO over him was George Foreman. Cooney certainly had a lot of deficiencies but I don't think a glass-jaw was one of them.

Lennox had great ring smarts but he wasnt the best boxer...Some of his fights frustrate me because hed be wasting his time with jabbing and boxing when he could just as easily KO the guy in front of him.

A motivated Lennox on his best day beats anyone else in history on their best day, I truly believe that. Lennox found a way to beat everyone he ever faced.

Lennox lost to Rahman at the old age of 35 and came back to avenge his loss!

Larry Holmes lost to SPinks at age 35 and couldnt defeat him in the rematch.

                    Lennox is the best.

Rahman blew the proverbial dead bear and Holmes got screwed in the Spinks rematch. Spinks on his worst day beats Rahman on his best.
