I think he should fight Rahman/Barret winner next, the winner of that prolly has the best chance of beating him... though he would most likely clown either of em.

Because that's the only way the hater's will shut up.
Personally, I don't think Vitali would fair well against any of those guys except maybe against Tyson or Frasier. But that is beyond the point; the only way the haters will shut up(and maybe become fans ), is when Vitali starts fighting some top-level competition like Rahman, Toney, and the other beltholders and maybe if he really wants to make a fan base he'll fight 2 times before 2006.

He needs to fight someone with a pulse. Period.

The bottom line is he's fought twice in the last 18 months, agaisnt Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams. For a title holder, that's pathetic.

He needs to fight Toney, Byrd, or Brewster, or wait for the winner of Rahman Barrett.

I voted for Toney, because it would appear that fight is readily available to him should he be interested in taking a credible fight.

when i talked to lamon last friday i asked him who he was gonna fight next and he said he wanted vitaly. i would like to see that fight. simply because lamon beat up on wlad. like posted earlier....vitaly like to get revenge on those who have whipped wlad. i don't see alot of interest in a tony fight. tony is 5'9. i just think it would be a mismatch. nothing against tony but vitaly is just too big for him in my opinion.

Hey Bozo my main man whats up!

I agree Toney is the fight that should be made...

I think currently that Ruiz, Brewster and Byrd are fights that just can't be made because of King...King will most likely only let Rock go after VK right now...King is not going to let one of his belt holders fight mickey mouse if he dooes not have some sort of future deal/options with Mickey mouse.

If Rock fought VK and happened to lose then King would have him back on a HW PPV in a few months fighting for a piece of the title or fighting an eliminator...Kings HW's are all like regergitated puke.

              Toney is the fight!

If anything Toney is the LEAST credible fight for Vitali to take aside from Maskaev. Toney is physicaly incapable of beating Vitali... it would just be way too much for him.

That maybe true, but Toney has a huge fanbase and has the charisma to promote this fight. Just think, Toney would be on BDSSP every other day talking trash!

I voted for Brewster because the way I see it, there are only a few realistic options:

1 - Rahman/Barret winner. If Vitali wants to fight in September, I do not think that the winner will have adequete time to prepare for Vitali.

2 - James Toney. I think this would be the biggest possible fight in the heavyweight division. But with Vitali being off for so long and Toney haven recently been suspended, I think both guys should fight someone else before they fight each other.

3 - John Ruiz. Nothing really wrong with this option, I just hate watching Ruiz box.

4 - Chris Byrd. Hasn't fought in forever. Would like to see Toney fight him and get a belt before he fought Vitali.

5 - Lamon Brewster. This one could be fun, two punchers going at it, Vitali would probably win pretty easily (~5 rounds), that way Vitali would have two belts and Toney would have one (assuming he beats Byrd) when they meet up early next year. That would make for a very big fight.
