Both fighters elected to slug it out, and take shots to give shots. Lewis landed 50% of his power punches, and CLEARLY being the bigger more powerful puncher, that resulted in the condition of Vitali's face causing him to lose. Vitali and his camp claim he was never known to cut before. In the Lewis fight, he sustained 5 seperate cuts for 80 - 100 stitches, the one above his eye being right down to the bone.

He LOST the fight. It still blows me away when I see people that can't accept it, or feel the need to point out Vitali was up 2 points on the score cards in a fight that only went 6 rounds because it was stopped via TKO.
my point was just that it wasnt a blowout as VK's face would suggest... VK lost, but was doing very well....

I've never heard anyone suggest Lewis blew him out, it's always the opposit of people acting like Vitali really won the fight by pummeling Lewis the whole time until he was stopped on an unlucky scratch.

The bottom line is that they went toe to toe, slugged it out, and Vitali lost becuase Lewis is the bigger puncher, and his face took a beating.

it doesnt seems that you give much credit to VK for a good showing in losing, which is your fine and can be your opinion... or maybe you have and i missed it.... but anyways i say he lost, but thought he did very well....

There's no room to talk about how he did well and made it competitve when everytime the fight is mentioned you have several deluded morons talking about How Vitali really won that fight / only lost because he was unlucky / really beat Lennox Lewis up.

let me ask you this.... if the fluke cut(the worse cut) didnt happen and the fight had gone, what do you think would have happened??

here's my speculation - lewis was coming on strong but was tiring... lewis was fighting an unusually agressive fight for him and he was slightly out shape cause he thought he was fighting KJ 2 weeks prior... vk was determined not to lose after wlad got KO'd by sanders... i'm guessing lewis tires out VK wins by dec. or stoppage...

Klitschko should fight Toney, Rahman, Byrd or Brewster. Anything else would be uncivilized.
