I believe I have to make a needed precision : Roach is an idiot FOR PUBLICLY BREAKING DOWN THE FIGHTERS AS HE SEES THEM BEFORE THE FIGHTS, basically undermining the greatness of the wins and achievements of his own fighter in the process

so thanks to him, people can quote him to discredit Pacquiao's last wins

Cotto : beaten down by Margarito and Clottey, not the same mentally and physically

Oscar : can't pull the trigger, shot to death

next is Floyd : had no legs, no power and wasn't the same as he used to be

after the fight, Roach will act like they beat a prime Floyd with his legs under him when he said he had no legs before the fight

Roach is a great trainer, but he has become a nuisance to his own fighter's legacy by being too vocal, that's my point

      what difference does it make?

roach saying hatton sucks doesn't take the fact that hatton is the lineal champ when manny beat him.

roach saying cotto is damaged doesn't take away the fact that he was at least number 2 welterweight when manny beat him for a 7th division title claim.

roach saying dlh is shot/can't pull the trigger does'n't take away the fact that manny had to climb up 2 divisions, and beat that ass even though nobody seriously thought he would stop him.

roach saying floyd has no legs doesn't take away the fact that he is still one of the most skilled boxer in history, close to his prime, and undefeated if manny beats him/

roach knows manny has accomplished things fighters today couldn't even dream of.

no matter how he ****s on his wins, pac is legend. and that ain't an opinion

you dont have to listen or believe in what he says. the same way floydsr or uncle roger talks trash about a fighter. you can call them mindgames or just plain bashing and call them idiots also.

Why is Roach an idiot ? Because he discredits Pacquiao's opponents before he fights them. Then, when Pacquiao beats them and that people start to measure the importance of the win and use the exact same points Roach used to break down Pacquiao's opponents, he acts like an offended ****** and says : ''You don't want to give Pacquiao credit''.

First example : De la Hoya. Prior to the fight, Roach was telling to anyone who would listen that Oscar couldn'T PULL the trigger anymore, that he was washed-up, finished. Then Pacman stops him. People start saying Oscar was drained and that he was not the same as in the Mayweather fight. Roach the offended ****** then came out : ''Why is it people say Oscar wasn't good, why can't people say Pacquiao won because he's good''. That idiot admitted prior to the fight Oscar was finished, then he doesn't want to hear that Oscar was lethargic and couldn't pull the trigger in the fight. The truth is that both are true : Oscar was a dead man walking and Pacquiao was great using movement and angles.

It happened with Cotto too. Roach was very vocal about the beatings Miguel took and how it affected him. Then after the fight, he wouldn't dare repeat his own words.

Same thing is happening now with Mayweather. Roach has been very vocal lately, stating that Floyd is only an average fighter at 147, that he has lost his legs and that Pacquiao will knock him out.

If it does happen, guess what ? People will recuperate Roach's own quotes and say ''Floyd was not the same, he was passed it, he had no legs, he was not the same since coming back to boxing after the 2 years lay-off''. Again, Roach will react like the offended ****** when in fact he will have been the one who diminished the importance of a win over Mayweather in the first place.

I think Roach needs to settle down a bit, he's been way too big mouthed recently, he's even threatening to smack the opponent's trainers, he's embarrassing himself and his fighter.

thats a very good observation. From a logical standpoint he has a very self defeating pattern of arguments.

Pacquiao then beat's them but doesn't get the credit for it The Press or maybe us boxing fan's pick out those exact words Roach said!!

Roach is making out that Pacquiao is fighting bum's so when he beat's them no matter what the name the Press will pick out on what he said and it will tarnish the victory!!!

Roach is an idiot because he is vocal about the state in which a fighter is prior to fighting Pacman, HE IS VERY accurate, but at the same time he eats his words when people measure the importance of the actual win WHILE TAKING INTO ACCOUNT what Roach said prior to the fight

IT IS NOT ONLY MIND GAMES, IT IS PART MIND GAMES, PART BEING TOO VOCAL ABOUT PACMAN'S OPPONENTS CHANCES

so Roach is not an idiot because he breaks down the fighters before the fight, he's an idiot because he breaks them down toO well, showing their flaws and all, and then when Pacquiao wins, he wishes he didn't say all he said, because it takes away some luster off the win

Where is this coming from? Have you spoken to Roach and did he say he wishes he never said the things after the fight that he said before?

I very much doubt it. Clearly Roach enjoys the position he's made for himself in boxing, and so he should as he's incredibly talented and worked extremely hard. I doubt he regrets any such things seeing as it's contributed to the position he has.

WEll, he was pissed post-fight when people were saying Oscar was drained and lethargic, looked shot to death, he was really pissed (see his interviews). Yet that's what he had been saying all along prior to the fight. When he realized people didn't give credit to Pacman for a victory over a drained and shot man, Roach wasn't talking anymore about ''he can't pull the trigger'', he said ''why does it have to be that Oscar had a bad night, and not that Pacquiao had a good night''.

This is something I have already stated in the previous replies..........
