its quite obvious. the guy was 39, 1 year & 5months removed from his last fight & it showed vs floyd when he was gassed by the 4th round.

shane mosley was 38 when he fought floyd, not 39. get the facts straight.

secondly the shane mosley that fought floyd was the shane mosley that fought margarito. so saying "the shane that showed up against floyd would have been murked by manny" sounds silly and *******-ish.

lastly, if pac ultimately makes his own decisions then why does he always say it's up to my promoter and team who i'm fighting next?

On one hand u say he wanted to test the waters @ 147 w/Cotto. On the other u guys are saying that he beat the guy that beat Mosley(inferring that he took the harder fight)? Which one is it?

Then, one on hand people are saying he took Cotto to make more money, cuz he is the bigger draw than Mosley. But on the other hand they want to discredit Floyd saying Pac is the bigger draw, when he drew more PPV with the guy they said Cotto was bigger than. Then where did the extra buy come from, cuz it wasnt from Mosley!? You can't have it both ways at the same time. It's one of the other.


Either Cotto is the harder fight or he isn't. Roach CLEARLY said that Cotto was not the same fighter anymore. This was b4 he fought Paq. Then they STILL made him come to 145 for the 147 title. When i heard about the fight, even without the catchweight, the first thing I thought was "mismatch 4 PAC".

He also CLEARLY said that he didn't want Shane at 147. He would have to come to 142. When Shane said he would do it, they still took Cotto.

Cotto didn't beat Clottey convincingly...he got Pac....Clottey LOST and got Pac next....Margarito got KTFO by Shane and his name is gettin' tossed in the air about fighting Manny....come on man.....Shane and Manny will be a dam good fight!!

He was coming back from a bad beating and psychologically was probably out-of-sort in his fight with Clottey, but physically I don't think he's lost anything. That fight went as I expected; I dont think the Clottey fight woulda been different if it had occured pre-Margarito. I guess we'll agree to disagree

my opinion after seeing clottey-cotto was that cotto definitely lost his confidence. he started out well against clottey, but once clottey started tagging him at will, cotto went into semi-survival (aka margarito mode) mode.

he reverted to the same thing once pac began to tag him at will.

i don't think shane mosley would have gone into survival mode if pac had landed on him. shane would have mounted his own offense and either got ktfo or ko'd manny.

shane was clearly a better fighter than cotto and clottey at the point and time pacquiao chose to fight them.

Theres a reason why Pac fought Cotto and not Mosley its very simple Cotto brought more money and was the easiar fight,Roach even stated this talking about how Cotto was not the same fighter after Margarito..

Roach wanted Mosley at 142 and he said no,Mosley then changed his mind and Roach went after Cotto..Ill give him credit cuz he did ask to fight Mosley though
