Yet another poster who can't be bothered to read what the article said before posting about it.Kastidis fights at 135 so he'll have to move UP to 140 to fight Khan. Didn't Khan say he'll fight Maidana? He's already making excuses why he wants to fight someone else? Give me a break. Fight Maidana and shut up already or you're ducking the man. I still don't think he'll fight Maidana. Roach knows that Maidana will KO Khan with one shot.. Khan could be dominating Maidana all fight but there is always that one shot that will KO Khan and Roach knows this.
And another one! Is everyone in this forum incapable of reading?Give me a friggin break! Khan is a big ass LWW....and he's a so called Champion. Its time he fought top fighters in that division. Stop playing games...."I want revenge." Paulie is a true 140lb fighter and he looked small compared to Khan. Fight Bradley, Alexander or Judah....this is the same dude with so called aspirations of fighting the "Mannys and Floyd's"
And yet another poster who didn't bother read the article! Incredible.Last edited by Dave Rado; 05-17-2010, 08:12 AM.Comment

Aaah good point, he has too. Earlier in his career as well, so not borne of necessity. It should be reasonably familiar territiory for him then, good stuff.See here. He's had quite a few fights above 135.
Boxing has weight classes, not height classes.
Yep the mention of height in that post more related to his reach advantage, what with taller fighters usually having a longer reach. He has like a 5 inch reach advantage, so the height will help his style.Comment

Not necessarily. It all depends whether Katsides has the head movement and timing to counter Khan's jab and get inside. A lot of the ATGs were short for their weight class and had short reach. It just means they have to know how to get inside in order to be effective. Dwight Muhammad Qawi was only 5′ 5½" tall and his reach of 71" was the same as Khan's, but he was an ATG Light Heavyweight, and most of his opponents were far taller than him and had much greater reach than him. Tyson was very short for a Heavyweight but is an ATG. Hatton was far from being an ATG but he still ruled the Jr Welterweight division for nearly four years, despite having a reach of only 65″, which is less than Katsidis' reach of 66".Comment
