Ortiz is a contender and is coming up, also he doesnt look like he has recovered after his KO. GBP would put him up against the best because hes only a contender and cant afford another loss at the time

Its better to see the best fight the best in thier prime tho
When boxing was still a mainstream sport, contenders fought each other all the time, and often fought each other multiple times, to determine who should get a crack at the champ. The modern obsession with avoiding risk is disastrous for the sport and doesn't even benefit the fighters in the long run. If you're a good fighter, then losing to another top contender shouldn't matter - you'll get another chance if you're any good, and if the first fight was a good fight, the rematch will happen sooner or later and will make both fighters a fortune.

Case in point - Ortiz lost to Maidana but is still a top contender. And in the future, if Ortiz and Maidana keep doing well, they'll both make a lot of money from a rematch.

There would be no shame in losing to Bradley or Alexander. Unless it was a really bad beating, he'd get another chance. What surprises me is that neither Bradley nor Alexander are mentioning that they want to fight him, despite the fact that they both have dates with HBO that they can't find a credible opponent for. Ortiz would be a far more credible opponent for Devon than Prescott, for instance.

Yea but theres no way GBP puts lets him fight them, NO WAY. Hes not the same as before the Maidana fight. Plus they dont want him to be a stepping stone for them

Amir, you said Marcos Maidana after the fight last night. Don't go back on that now.

Unless Maidana is really injured and can't make the fight you don't get a pass to go fight a lightweight.

                Where is Malinglagi

Where is the old woman Paula? Did she got her tounge damage too when Amir busted her mouth. Amir really did a number on Malinglagi. Normally Paula will be out there yapping, but today is a different day because there is no sign of the old woman and it is a much better atmosphere.

I don't think Katsidis can win.

I don't like this match-up, because I feel Katsidis won't win. Kats is underrated, but I don't know how Kats would be able to deal with Khans speed and reach. Kats would have to show alot of crazy angles.

Katsidis would have to take Khans jab away some how.
