a specific link saying they are sure fire hof is impossible to find but if you research each fighter you find articles backing my claim not all are first ballot hof but u gotta be out of the fight game i believe 10 years(i could be off a couple years)to even be eligible but the fights between castillo and corales are consider the best fights of all time and both were former undisputed undefeated champions hernandez is a bit more debatable (of course he is not a first ballot) but he defended his belt 8 times before fighting may in a tough division. and of course the hof is not easy to get in but the guys i listed were all elite fighters in their prime and those dont come a dime a dozen just because they all are not house hold names doesnt mean they are not future hof in all honesty chop chop corley i debatable as well (although i wouldnt bet on him getting in )

It's difficult to jump out of your seat, when watching that fight two weeks ago. You had a guy throwing two punch combos the entire time against a guy who wasn't even fighting back anymore, he literally had one good round and all Floozy could muster was two punch combos and has the nerves to say, "he gave fans what they came for, a toe to toe battle" lmaoComment

[QUOTE=philb;8399210]Still sound biased ma dude but its all good, and shifting blame to roger and floyd senior now is a lil convenient. I mean we can go back and forth about the early rounds of the ricky fight or the delahoya fight, but fact still is pac made it look way easier....is that grounds for suspecting steroids? sounds like sour g****s to me if there is no historical proof so that speaks for itself sorry to say. Can u confidently tell me may stepped up to every challenge during his career? and if he was chasing people so much who supposedly feared his popshotting UD approach to fights, why does his record not really read like a whose who list before the delahoya fight, same delahoya who struggled w/ stevie forbes for his tune up at a later stage in his career....look at may's boxrec link and identify all those great fighters pre-delahoya fight for me...
well show me proof that mayweather jr said pac is on steroids then and if you truly follow boxing mayweather has never been a figher to chase a ko he is fine with making his opponent look bad in a fight styles make fights and since he ducks so many fighter tell me 3 fighters he ducked and dont try to say mosley cause there is plenty of proof that may tried to fight mosley only argument u would have is margarito (and after seing what shane did to him do u really think may would have a problem with beating him also pac fought hoya and hatton after mayweather and hatton was undefeated and #2 p4p before may fought him so if mayweather doesnt get credit for those wins neither does pacComment

Last time i check Welterweight divison requires 8 oz gloves not 10. It was Floyd who requested pillow gloves. As for the 10 miilion for every pound, well we know what Mayweather did with his fight with JMM. As for the drug test, Manny Pacquiao has no history using PEDs, so its so unreasonable. If Mayweather he wants to clean up the sport and level the playing field, fight to include it in all the commissions and make it compulsory of every fighter. Pacquiao has said he's willing to undergo any drug test if the commission insist. Lets do it to all the boxers not just Pacquiao. He should also start it with himself by not using xylocaine. IMO, he looks more roided than Pacquaio. LOLComment

let me list a few....
Henry bruseles,
victoriano sosa,
philip ndou
demarcus corley
emanuel augustus
gregorio vargas
justin juuko ( like mike jones say..who??)
May cannot afford to lose another opportunity to fight pac because of his bs blood tests man, just keep it real...or his legacy is down the toilet, he just dissapointing fans w that nonsense and pissing everyone off, just man up. The only other alternative i give him if he ducks pac again, yes DUCKS pac again...is to fight martinez like they been sayin, someone in his prime coming off big wins...then he can find redemption.Comment

Oh and by the way, i don't have to show proof of mayweather saying anything, the fact that he demanded the tests says it all...if it wasn't for that then u would be correct...it would have just been toothless uncle rog talkin ignant as usual...but may made it official w/ that move...no denying that. May can easily go down to junior welter thats deep with young proven hungry fighters but no he wont', too much risk...he doesn't want to go out like mosley but he certainly wants to be the one beatin up on guys older than him close to 40....if all his fans on the site say he doesn't need anyone to make big ppv numbers and he can do it all by himself, why not go fight tim bradley or devon alexander, actually these young fighters are fighting the best at this point in there career...but we know it ain't happenin....he prolly ask delahoya to come back out of retirement so he can pop shot him to death, i'd rather see paint drying on a wall honestly.Last edited by philb; 05-17-2010, 12:14 AM.Comment

lets not make excuses for pac i like him as a fighter but im honest and first glove size is up to the contract at the negotiation table and the 10 million per pound is unreasonbale because the marquez fight was at welterweight (147 pd limit) 144 was the catchweight so technically mayweather did not come in overweight also why is every one else willing to fight mayweather without the test berto,williams,martinez,mosley and i could keep naming people and they wouldnt even get a 50/50 split bothe fighters made demands but mayweather is the only one that was willing to compromise is stance to get the fight done.Comment

[QUOTE=philb;8399320]
Well if he had been chasing all the big names all thru his career why does his boxrec consist of all those names i mentioned. The first castillo fight was even considered a controversial decision hence why may had to fight him again....just like people make the argument mosley lost the first fight to delahoya then by the same token may lost the first fight to castillo...no favoritism, just be objective. In any case....if he didn't duck alot of better fighters during most of his career, he sure didn't seek them out either, but years later he claims "oh mosley said he was goin on vacation" and why did ya'll take his word like gospel, who else cosigned that from both sides of the table? . The way u sound its like mayweather was destroying cats and people feared him...c'mon even u have to think thats laughable. I can understand his style makes people look bad...but c'mon lets not get ridiculous....mays name wasn't even that big back when mosley and delahoya were gettin it on in their prime, i just remember floyd was just always a lil side item in featherweight fighting the jesus chaves and carlos hernandez types back then....i don't hear their names come out of jim lampley and larry merchants mouth sayin "oh back in his great epic victories against chaves or hernandez".....
Oh and by the way, i don't have to show proof of mayweather saying anything, the fact that he demanded the tests says it all...if it wasn't for that then u would be correct...it would have just been toothless uncle rog talkin ignant as usual...but may made it official w/ that move...no denying that.Comment

[QUOTE=tankdawg06;8399435]
LETS BE REALISTIC IF MAY WAS NOT A BIG NAME AND MOSLEY TURNED HIM DOWN BECAUSE OF THAT WHY RUN AND GIVE MOSLEY A BIG PAYDAY ONCE HE GETS ON TOP I WOULD HAVE TREATED HIM THE SAME WAY MOSLEY COULD HAVE HAD THE LARGER PURSE 70/30 AND COULD HAVE SHUT MAYWEATHER UP THE FACT IS HE DID NOT WANT A TOUGH FIGHT LIKE THAT RIGHT AFTER TWO TOUGH FIGHTS WITH DLH AND A TOUGHT ONE WITH VARGAS. ALSO U SAY U ARE A MOSLEY FAN GO LOOK AT MOSLEYS RECORD HE HAS SOME UNKNOWN NAMES ON HIS RESUME AS WELL.EVERY BOXER DOES. YOU ALSO DIDNT GIVE ME THE NAMES OF PEOPLE HE " DUCKED". AND YOU NEVER HEARD MAYWEATHER SAY THAT PAC WAS ON STEROID CAUSE HE DIDNT. HIM REQUESTING OST DOES NOT EQUATE TO HIM SAYING SAYING " PAC WAS ON STEROIDS " COME ON PHILLIP UR JUST REACHING DONT LET YOUR DISLIKE FOR MAY CLOUD YOUR LOGICAL REASONING BECAUSE U SEEM TO BE A SMART GUY
as for mosley's record consisting of non name people yes everyone has em, but may has way more....this is who mosley has been fighting the last couple of years....
floyd
margarito (welter king at the time)
mayorga (lineal champ at one point)
miguel cotto
luis callazo (avoided fighter for good reason)
vargas (twice)
delahoya (twice)
winky wright (twice)
vernon forrest (twice)
raul marquez
james leija
golden johnson
antonio diaz
why u even ask for this son, thats a real warriors record, no easy pickins...LOL, if mosley fought philip ndou, he would have ko'd him at the opening bell...sadLast edited by philb; 05-17-2010, 12:38 AM.Comment
