Why are people surprised looked old and worn down? The guy had 1 good fight against Margarito AFTER he got busted with his cast hands, and he admitted he took it easy in his training camp. Mosley grew up in Pomona which is where I was born and raised and he fought NOTHING but Mexican fighters exactly like Marg. Of course he is going to look good in that fight, his previous fights he barely beat Mayorga had a hell of a time with Vargas and lost to Cotto.

All of Mosley losses came to guys who outboxed him. Forrest and Winky did just that, and Cotto ****** with Mosley a bit more than the other two, but still clearly won the fight. So this entire comparison is just ****** because quite frankly both DLH and Mosley were old as **** when they fought Pac/May. Neither guy was at his "prime" weight class. DLH was best at 154 and Mosley was best at 135, but the biggest factor is simple. Neither of these were EVER on the level of either Pac or May talent wise, period. DLH stopped throwing because he was totally gassed from the weight loss and Mosley stopped throwing because every time he did he was getting tagged by right hands. Both guys ****** ass at the time when they fought the opponents who were/are in their prime.

Also, I can see the DLH/Pac fight as being a major upset, the sheer size difference that was perceived when this fight took place had much to do with that, but was anyone other than very few media people expecting Mayweather to lose? Sure, he looked more dominant than many anticipated and no one really expected May to come forward but the outcome was expected.

                Wow, that is very unexpected!

i agree with a previous poster though. Mayweather tend to make opponents punch output drop.

people also forget the fact pac was practically a lightweight coming up, what did he weigh in against hatton? like 137 or 138 on the scales on the weigh in, then made a huge jump to fight oscar

yes but compare it with Oscars punch output in 9 rounds.................almost equal.............why do you think that is???

Shane Mosley fought over 40 rds (Cotto, Mayorga, Margarito,..) in the previous 2-4 years

                      So who was more inactive?
                      1. I didn't know 12 + 12 + 9 =40

                      2. Floyd last fight Sept 19, 2009. Shanes last fight was Jan 24, 2009.
