Stopping the fight was the right decision, if it was any other fighter i would disagree, but Malignaggi didn't have the power to change the outcome.

I have a hard time agreeing with stopping a fight when the fighter has not been knocked down. If the fighters corner wants to stop the fight in this case fine. This smells like BS to me.

Well excuse Mr Sensitive. Although Paulie was getting hit with clean shots, he was not getting hit with bombs or devasating blows that would cause the kind of damage you are stating. I believe the fight was stopped becasue Pailie does not pack a punch, therefore the ref thought Paulie had little chance to win.

Paulie's corner are the ones that should have the towel in if they did not want Paulie to continue with the fight. I did not see a fighter hurt to the point that the ref had to save him Chimp.

malinaggi goin into round 9/10/11 new it was over the face of a beaten man khan was just levels up on him a much better fighter ppl on hear sayin his legs were gone he was bouncin around till khan took comand hes realy improved now to the point were he can match any fighter in his division in every departmant power skill speed movement defense all top notch no matter what anyone says khan is at the very top now and will be for 10 years to come

I dont know if the fight should have been stopped earlier. But Paul is a stubborn man. When the ref stopped it, paul was still punching trying to make out he had much more to offer.

He dont look like he could take a punch or punishment but he does dont he, fight after fight! Cotto didnt punch it out of him

Mate, look at the last round khan was marching him down, paulie didnt want it anymore, ref sensed this and saved him from getting dropped or hurt more.

To you they might not have seemed powerful punches he just got a really good chin but he felt them believe that, he was getting caught clean and his head was snapping back with nearly every punch, he was getting beaten up with a good solid jab, it was almost like a power punch.

It was good refereeing, he sensed paulie didnt want it anymore and saved him from more damage.
