Realistically, Khan WON'T fight Maidana next.

I say this, not because Khan is ducking him, but because Maidana's not fit.

Maidana pulled out of his July date with Bradley due to a back injury. Khan says that he will fight at the end of July in the UK, just before Ramadan (Islamic month of fasting). If Maidana couldn't make July to fight Bradley, then he can't make July to fight Khan.

Khan fill fight a top 10-15 Light Welterweight contender instead. Fighters like Victor Ortiz, Mike Alvarado, Lamont Peterson. Perhaps somebody like Ajose Olugusen. Or even a Lightweight stepping up, like Anthony Peterson.

My money's on him fighting Victor Ortiz next.

Then he'd fight Maidana sometime in December, after Ramadan. Maidana might want to take a fight in August or September else he'd have not fought in 8/9months come December.

So why didn't Khan fight Maidana when he was supposd to? According to the folks on here Maidana is a BUM?!?!? Maidana just pulled out of a fight because of a back injury and Roach will capitalize on that. Another thing, Khan needs to stop making comments about fighting fighters when they are not at their prime.

Khan just needs to fight the big dogs at 140 and prove that he's a beast.
Roach is a great trainer but it seems like he is playing promoter/match maker with his fighters.

      Cong**** on beating Paulie.

I picked khan to win even though I hate paulie's trash talk I was the one shouting paulie to throw back...but paulie is tough man he will not quit doesn't matter who it is..alot od respect for paulie in this fight cuz he had no quit in him..but khan he really did impress me..he is tall for a 140lb has a big reach and is very very fast and he has a very good jab..and that is what will take khan to the next level and roach will bring khan to b the best he can b cuz I was the one riling khan cuz I hated that he didn't want to fight a serious opponent but hey paulie has never ben outboxed and beaten up and stopes like this..but mostly it was cuz of khan's jab and he's combos that come at u very very fast..khan says he's Gona fight maidana and I know he will and I think he can win that fight on pure skill alone and has improved slot since he's KO loss..but maidana is a puncher???!!! Hmmm very intersting toss up I guess..

I agree. I wonder if he will now say it was all Sharifs fault... becuase when he lost while Buddy McGirt was training him, it was all Buddys fault he did so bad. LMAO! Actually, I think he was just pissed at Buddy for stopping the fight with Hatton, if anything he was looking out for Paulies best interest and by no means was it Buddys fault that he lost that fight, Paulie could not win at that point. I certainly thought that Buddy would have given Paulie better instructions in the corner inbetween rounds than Sharif did. "That was good, that was better, come one son... look at me" He was a little pissed that Paulie was paying attention to everything around him and not listening to him. Paulie knew it was game/set/match going in to the 4th round IMO. That would be funny as hell if he re-hired McGirt after this.
BTW, did any body catch what Paulie was saying to Amir right after the fight? He said something to the effect of "Well atleast could you fight Ricky Hatton and do to him what he did to me?" He wants Amir to beat up Ricky so that he doesn't look so bad. You know, kinda like saying "Hey, I got beat by a guy that beat you! You're nothing special." LOL. It was also pretty interesting seeing Paulie and Roach making nice nice. It sounded like he was saying "I didn't mean anything by it, it wasn't personal". Part of me had to wonder if he would apoligize for the steroid rants hes gone on about with Freddie and his fighters. But then the other part of me thought by tomorrow he could turn back in to the real Paulie and start saying he thinks Amir is on some sort of strawberry steriod shake. Would have loved to hear all that he said to Roach, but he was for sure apologizing. Glad Paulie took a piece of the humble pie though, because he did get beatin down by a better version of himself.

Who said so, they didn't take any test yet. But is confident that they will find nothing because the truth is that he and pac are really clean. And if they found a way to beat the test why not have Pac take the test and make Mayweather fight become a reality.

He did, that's why he fought Paulie. Now he has to step up to the plate, therefore he is willing to fight him because it is either Maidana or another REAL challenge.

In fact, Khan vs. Maidana will look very similar to that. Maidana won't lay a glove on Khan, mainly because of Khan's ability to control distance. Anyway look,

you can't really use the randall chavez fight, chavez only trained a couple hours a day and was drinking and partying every night.

i think ppl are seriously underrating maidana. the kid can ****. khan isnt some defensive wizard, lets stop actin like he is. the body shots were open to paulie all night and when paulie did decide to pressure khan, he made some gains. dnt forget what happened to ortiz. sure he should have won, but he took a whole lot oof punishment, punishment i am not convinced khan can take.
