Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Says: I Will Fight Marcos Maidana Next!

That's why he doesn't need to be fed guys like Maidana, at least not yet, if he is served someone like Maidana to soon, then his post interview will sound vaguely familiar and go something like this ..."I'm not sure I deserve to be taking this kind of punishment. I really need to think about whether or not I want to be doing this as a job".Why the surprise?
Win or lose, he has heart.
TBH, I have a greater apprehension with respect to big punchers then boxers against Khan. Maidana and Ortiz pose a issue greater then say Bradley, who for all his skill isnt a big hitter.
I say Khan can beat a good number. He's 23, at 25 the kid will be a dream.Comment

That's not how it works Amir! You don't dictate to the top 2 guys in ur division to fight each other then you get the winner. You havn't earned ur strips yet! Fight Maidana first, if U win, Alexander will be next. The winner gets Bradley.Comment

This comment absolutely takes the cake for "Most Uneducated and ****** Comment of The Night Award" And that's saying something considering how many brain dead comments have been made here tonight!
You can't possibly lump Ortiz and Maidana together as having a punchers chance. Maidana's style is crude but he makes up for it in power. I can see him finally wearing down Khan and shattering that glass chin that everyone here including you seems to somehow have forgotten about.
Ortiz on the other hand suffered a setback against Maidana but he looked awesome tonight even though you could argue that Nate Campbell is shot. Again, Ortiz unlike Paulie Loud Mouth Malinaggi will actually be able to land some meaningful sharp punches as he has very good hand speed. That spells trouble for Amir who will always have a glass chin.
I commend Amir for stepping it up and calling out Maidana but if that fight ever comes to fruition that will be the end of Amir as we know him.Last edited by internetworld7; 05-16-2010, 01:20 AM.Comment

roach has upped his defensive game to a whole new level meaning he won't leave his chin hanging like that again. Plus Kotelnik and Barrea have hit him with far harder punches.
He may not have the greatest chin but some people think its literally made of paper.
If paulie who is considered fast can't land on Khan i can't see how Maidana a slower puncher can catch him with those big left hooks unless he leaves his face open again.Comment
