i think ppl are seriously underrating maidana. the kid can ****. khan isnt some defensive wizard, lets stop actin like he is. the body shots were open to paulie all night and when paulie did decide to pressure khan, he made some gains. dnt forget what happened to ortiz. sure he should have won, but he took a whole lot oof punishment, punishment i am not convinced khan can take.

yeah, i hear u man. maidana is a pure ****er, nothin flashy, just brutal punches 2 the head and body. ortiz skill level was supperior 2 him but the punishmment he took made him quit. idk if khan is ready for that, thats why i see him maybe gettin it on with ortiz next. see how he does vs him b4 he goes after chino.

To me the Malignaggi fight was only to test if Khan has what it take the pressure of fighting big fights, if it will affects his abilities in the ring. And now he seems ready to fight Maidana he will not rattle or panic if he is in danger inside the ring with such a fighter that is the way i see it now.

Khan has faster feet and hands than Paulie and is a 2 handed puncher.........what he did was completely expected.....there was no way Paulie was going to win this fight.......

Maidana is a diff proposition......he is fast enough on his feet to catch Khan and has power in both hands..........i would back Maidana to beat Khan.

Khan fought a very good fight. I'll give him credit. But it's easy to throw that many punches and be aggressive when you're not worried about what's coming back at you in return. We all knew Khan could box so it's not a surprise that he outboxed Paulie. Once we see him in there with some guys that can punch we'll see if he's elite or not. If he beats Maidana I'll give him tremendous props. Obviously he is leagues ahead of Maidana in boxing skill but Maidana is a big big puncher.

I am not underrating Maidana but I believe that Khan will improve faster then him, cause with the help of world class trainer and conditioning trainer. Hopefully he will have no issues with his manager. All fighter must be at peace in their mind to fight effectively IMO.

I picked khan to win even though I hate paulie's trash talk I was the one shouting paulie to throw back...but paulie is tough man he will not quit doesn't matter who it is..alot od respect for paulie in this fight cuz he had no quit in him..but khan he really did impress me..he is tall for a 140lb has a big reach and is very very fast and he has a very good jab..and that is what will take khan to the next level and roach will bring khan to b the best he can b cuz I was the one riling khan cuz I hated that he didn't want to fight a serious opponent but hey paulie has never ben outboxed and beaten up and stopes like this..but mostly it was cuz of khan's jab and he's combos that come at u very very fast..khan says he's Gona fight maidana and I know he will and I think he can win that fight on pure skill alone and has improved slot since he's KO loss..but maidana is a puncher???!!! Hmmm very intersting toss up I guess..

Although I thought Kahn looked great tonight, and I would love to see the outcome of a Maidana fight.... I see a lot of improvements he needs to do, mostly in his defense. I think a pure puncher like Maidana would be a real scary test for Kahn at this point in his carrier. I think Kahn and Freddie still have quite a bit of work to do before he starts talking about some of these heavy hitters.... because he is very hittable. I could possibly see Alexander outboxing and possibly KOing the Kahn that fought tonight. Hopefully Roach will go over the fight with Kahn and pick out those things he needs to improve on before a taking on one of those big fights.

And that will make every fight of Khan great because of that chin of his, every opponent of his will always have a chance of winning. And him able to avoid being KOed will be accredited to him in every way.

you can't really use the randall chavez fight, chavez only trained a couple hours a day and was drinking and partying every night.

Then thats perfect, an undisciplined Chavez > Maidana.
