The reason I listed Toney, is because he has hurt world class guys with body punching, and has used it to slow down quicker opponents like Nunn. Toney took a hell of a beating in that Nunn fight, but landed excellent bodyshots early that helped to slow Mike down later. He's shown in his fights with McCallum, Ruiz, Jirov, etc that he can kill your body and drain your strength...thats usually when he kicks it up in the late rounds.

Jose Luis Castillo might have then best body attack of all of those guys I listed (besides Chaves of course). After Corrales beat JLC, they had to carry him around for like a day and a half because his body was so thoroughly beaten. His body shots were what should have won him that first fight against PBF, and were what he used to kill very good opponents like Lazcano and Diaz.

Jirov was a legitimate top 10 or 15 p4p guy before he lost to Toney. He was so avoided it was sickening. I think a good part of the reason why he was so avoided is because of his insane body attack. I don't think many people have seen a lot of early Jirov work (hell, pre-Toney fight for that matter) and his body attack was sickening.

Exactly. Buddy McGirt has worked wonders with Gatti in his technique. People dont give him enough credit and just call him a brawler ONLY. He's not as technically sound as Mayweather, but Floyd doesnt hit nearly as hard as Gatti either, which is his disadvantage.

Gatti can get by boxing with guys like Ward but he can't against Mayweather. Gatti better come to fight because he will get outboxed badly if he makes this a straight up boxing match.

Like I said, Floyd is more technically sound than gatti, which is why I hope Gatti traps him on the ropes and knocks him out. A head shot or that left to the liver will do! I just think he's gotten better at his technique than alot of people will credit him for since joining up with McGirt.

The Gatti who KO'ed Gamache would have a solid puncher's chance against Mayweather but he's been through far too much wear and tear since then. After hearing him slur his words during that interview with Mayweather, I think Floyd will dice him up. This is coming from a guy who wants Gatti to win badly. I hope that he can land a hail mary punch and knock that ****y ***** senseless, but my brain says Mayweather will stop him in the mid rounds.

I believe Mayweather's power is being very underestimated. I'm going with a decision but starting to think Mayweather will stop him late. Mayweather seems extremely focused and prepared for this fight and I think he is coming to make a statement Saturday night.

Since when is Castillo a brilliant technician? And I agree he has less boxing skill that Gatti. He's a pretty dirty fighter who like only the inside. I'v never seen him jab effectively. Oh, you jackasses who think Gatti has no chance at all against Mayweather?? WTF? I do agree that Mayweather has superior skill, however Gatti has 1) Better power 2) Better Chin 3) Better Heart 4) The crowd. I think Mayweather will win, but not in the super easy fashion you all claim he will. If he gets caught, stunned, I think its over. Cause once Gatti starts it hard to end his punching.

Castillo's skills are different. Castillo is an in-fighter and his jab is a very underrated tool. Everybody doesn't have to be on thier toes to have skills.

Gatti's power maybe better but he has been hurt several times more than Mayweather who was only buzzed for a second. Until proven otherwise Mayweather has the better chin. As far as heart goes, it just depends on what you are looking for. If you mean going toe to toe in a war well Gatti has shown to have more heart because Mayweather hasn't had to do that.
