Still don't understand why FLOYD wouldn't want to have the belt. I mean, at the end adding another belt does enhance your legacy. The guy made like $40+ million a sanctioning fee cant be THAT bad.

He says belts collect dust, well then why did he turn down $8 million to fight Margartio and instead fight Baldy because Baldy had a belt? Does not compute.
At the time Floyd did not have the drawing power that he does now. So he needed the belts as leverage, not to mention I'm sure that was a goal of his to get the belts. But he's been there done that. His main focus is getting paid. And no matter what any fighter says their main goal is to get paid, then titles, then legacy. But Floyd has secured his legacy in boxing already, and the only belt he can gain that would enhance it would be the MW belt. Other than that he can only enhance his legacy by beating Pac, PW, and Martinez. After those fights there won't be anything left for Floyd to do.

The only belt Ive ever seen Floyd take pride in fighting for is the WBC belt
oh I understand that, I just see a big time contradiction is all. On one hand your all about legacy, on the other your all about money and belts collect dust.

Ok, that doesn't explain why he didn't take the WBA though. He got paid and could have got another belt which DOES enhance legacy even more (he would be a two time WW champion or whatever). He could also call himself a champion of the world now, something he cant say.

So again it's confusing. Is it really just about the sanctioning fee? I find that hard to believe, I mean he paid marquez $600,000 so he wouldn't have to lose 2 pounds, I think he could afford a sanctioning fee.

Is it about mandatories? I doubt it, he could always refuse it later.

Does he have a personal issue with the WBA? maybe??

I have no idea why people think that.

Anyone who follows Floyd career knows he only cares about the WBC.

The ring still list him as it, so it can mislead people.

So he should fight Andre Berto then?

I guess your right about only having WBC, but I know he had IBF at one point.

Why didn't he except the WBC diamond belt?
