I wish we could attribute "superstition" as a rationale for avoiding the biggest money fight in boxing history but it simply makes no sense. I think a comparable analogy would be if I allowed a black cat crossing my path stop me from going into a building and cashing in a winning lotto ticket. It's pretty clear that MP is Top Rank's meal ticket and they have no intention of putting him in the ring with PBF without an enhancement or some other advantage.

If MP and his team were as confident as his fans that he will win the fight, then the fight would have been made in March of this year. I don't see how a refusal to take a drug test can be construed as anything but a tacit admission to cheating. As I said, superstition makes no sense at all.

First yeah, I have a brain of my own, do you? What the Mayweather's may conjecture on their own is different than MP acting as if their allegations were true. The Mayweather's are free to speculate about anything they wish, but if the other camp then behaves in a way that I believe is su****ious i.e. refusing to take a blood test so a fight all the fans want to see will happen.

The Mayweather's want none of MP yet they agree to all of his outrageous demands and they make one and the fights off? Anyone that understands what PBF can do in the ring isn't surprised at what's happening.

What are you basing this belief on though? You're certainly not basing that on the facts because the facts say that Mayweather has remained consistent on this from the start. If Mayweather was just looking for an excuse not to fight, then why did he agree to Pacquiao's requests? Why wouldn't he have used one of Pacquiao's requests or the money(split) to derail the negotiations instead of putting all of his hopes on Pacquiao refusing the drug testing request that he initially agreed to?

Of all of the ways he could "duck" a fight, he agrees to all of the odd-ball requests from MP and asks for one of his own--a blood test--and all of the sudden he's ducking Pacquiao? Very seldom do I see a MP fan question their idol as to the reasoning behind letting the biggest fight ever slip through his fingers. I can't buy "superstition" unless I was foolishly in love with Pacquiao and refused to use the sense God gave me. Only someone that's in love accepts without question an idea that simple logic could prove false.

As to PBF finding another reason to not fight Pacquiao, shouldn't we wait for that instead of assuming it will happen? Give the guy a chance before you condemn him, the same chance that allows you to see nothing wrong with what Pacquiao's doing and everything wrong with what Floyd's doing.

Of course Team Mayweather aren't necessarily boxing's saviors because they are now starting to require blood testing before their fights. But they have highlighted an issue that deserves attention in the full light of day. Whether we think about it too hard or not, these men put their lives on the line for our entertainment. Boxing is a dangerous sport and if the harm that it causes could be mitigated by drug testing or some other procedure aren't the lives of these fighters worth it?

Too often I see people trying to conflate PBF's swagger with the urgent need for random testing in the sport. PBF's attitude has little to do with the cheaters that are trying to get paid because of artificial enhancements.

As long as MP position is superstition instead of fact I'll always have my doubts about him, and many of his wins.
