Katsidis might make it a rough fight early on but I think Marquez figures him out and gets the KO.

I think at this stage of his career Marquez is only looking for the big money fights and he deserves that right.

Exactly bro..Katsidis is taylor made for marquez and most likely look
like like the marquez-diaz fight.I would love to see this fight,But dont

Seriously. Marquez is a powerful counterpuncher. Katsidis face-first, take two to give one style plays right into Dinamita's hands, especially because he's been knocked down by lesser punchers in the past.

Just to clarify what I meant by saying Marquez was ungentlemanly...

I don't care so much that he chose to bypass Kats and fight Diaz instead (although I still think it's a load of **** that Diaz suddenly gets a chance to fight for 4 title belts after a terrible '09).

What grates me is that he made Kats wait 6 months without any answer. That's just flat-out poor. He could've vacated that WBO title before the end of '09, and as a result Kats could've had 2 fights by now.

It's bad conduct to make a young fighter in his prime wait around for an opportunity he really needs.

I watched it and he seemed to have suddenly developed some 'slick' skills overnight, but prior to that he was an utter punchbag in the making. Worst regard for defence I'd ever seen, barring Froch.

Yeah, man - that was the whole thing with Valero, whether or not the boxing skills we'd heard tell of -- exhibited in those storied sparring sessions -- would finally show up in an actual fight.

Against DeMarco, a higher calibre of opponent, he substantiated the myths to the world.



Valero-Katsidis could've been exciting. Likely that Katsidis would've got wiped out early, though, I think.

Moreover, just a shame that Valero vs. Anyone won't ever take place again.

Or will he continue to duck him??? After the Mayweather loss Marquez was still the Lightweight Champ and Katsidis was ranked right behind him......they had plenty of time to get it done, but Marquez was either too busy chasing Pacquiao or afraid of Katsidis

The general consensus is that the July 31 rematch between Marquez and Diaz is a waste of time......Diaz isn't even ranked Top 10 in either Lightweight or Jr. Welterweight......Marquez blatantly snubbed Katsidis

So is Marquez purely fighting for money now and doesn't want to risk getting into the ring with the dangerous Katsidis??
