...if you want to beat him.
I was watching Brewster-Wlad I yesterday for the second time. I didn't remember how ferociously Lamon came out of his corner when the first bell rang, he jumped right at Wlad, and what did Wlad do ? He retreated, he looked very uncomfortable, he fled and held on to Brewster to stop his assault.
We can see Wlad, as he does in all his fights, tried to take control of the center of the ring right away, but the way Lamon just attacked him without any respect, he had to back off, he has no answer to that kind of tactic besides holding and moving. A reckless Peter made Wlad very uncomfortable too at times.
After the first burst, Lamon continued to attack with power punches, but with less intensity, which gave Wlad good offense opportunities, and as he always does, Wlad leaned on Brewster and held on, and on, and on, whenever he needed to, despite the ref warned him to stop several times. Brewster was landing a good power punch here and there, but he really got to Wlad only in the last round of their fight when he landed a good combination started by a jab.
So Brewster lesson is : have no respect, throw power punches in bunches. If you think Wlad lost because he was poisonned, post a relevant link to evidences. Anyway, it doesn't matter since the topic is ''how to beat Wlad''.
The second fighter we must look up to when trying to determine how to beat Wlad is Sanders. Sanders didn't come out blazing like Brewster did. He came out very cautious, on the back foot, trying to counter Wladdy who was pretty aggressive in the opening round.
BUT, as soon as he started landing his power punches, Sanders became very aggressive, and he showed NO RESPECT to Wlad from that point on. He just threw power punches in bunches. Those attacks resulted in multiple KD and an ultimate TKO in round 2. Again, Wlad had no answer when these power punches rained on him, he was lost. If you think Wlad was poisoned in this fight, you have personal issues.
So in the end, the blue prints of Sanders and Brewster tell that NO RESPECT + COMBINATION PUNCHING + POWER = a L on Wlad's record.
This is not a hate thread, think twice before posting. I'm just trying to figure out what is the best way to beat Wlad since most people fail to beat him, even those who realize you can't stand on the outside. I'm definitely not a fan of him, I want to see him get beaten for the fourth time, but that doesn't make me a hater. I just want new blood since I don't like his style. If you wonder, I didn't talk about the Puritty loss because I have not watched the whole fight.
So my answer is show him no respect, jump on him with combinations to prevent him from holding. And knock him out of course. That man has never lost a decision after all.
What do you think ? Do you think Haye plans to jump on Wlad with power punches if he ever signs the contract ?
Side note : please Klitards, don't behave like Klitards.
