I forgot about the annual SEC and Big 12 conference championship games. They do get huge ratings themselves; but only one is at night and it starts at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Start the PPV at 10:30 p.m EST to compensate a little if the night game is a huge showdown; this mega fight would probably enjoy aggressive commercial advertisements during the pre-game coverage of both football championships as well IMHO.

Last year Texas vs. Nebraska was the night game and was overshadowed by the Florida vs. Alabama afternoon game earlier that day.

LOL. somehow, i feel arum & schaeffer is sitting back throwing press releases at each other while laughing & holding hands, and all of us are EATING IT UP.

optimist in me sees the fight happening eventually... pure genius on team mayweathers part because they walk away from this unharmed while everyone believes floyd is "cleaning up the sport". lets hope floyd takes the manny route and has 2 fights this year.... "retiring" would be a waste of his prime. time for floyd to go after the record books.

Congratulations to Pac and his fans. Now they will have a built-in excuse (he was distracted by political concerns) when Mayweather beats the hell out of him.....if Pac is willing to take the tests first.

people on here really dont understand wots going on, they r too fr up floyds ass to think...floyd aint goin near pac because he knows pac will destroy him with a knockout..he knows pac is fast, precise and hits very very hard thrwing 15 - 20 a time , 100 punches easily a round for a full 12 rounds..floyd was wobbled by an old man recently , he aint goin near pac....

If you *******s think a guy with no jab, short arms, piss poor defense and limited will beat a elite technician like PBF you're kidding yourself. People like you who don't look at the technical aspects of boxing will forever be left looking ****** in the end. PBF is the best most complete fighter Pac has ever faced. He's juts as fast if not faster and is just as athletic but he's longer and stronger he's also a counter puncher makes few mistakes and is the best defensive fighter of this era combined with a being a ring general with a high IQ. You have a recipe for disaster for Pac but you still don't see it. It amazes me that guys like you can be so blind even when staring in the face of defeat. Historically speaking elite defensive counter punchers like PBF have owned elite aggressive pressure fighters like Pac but I guess that doesn't matter either? Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships and come fight night you'll find this out but by then it will be too late

One idealistic man's view

If you have read as much as I have about Pacquiao outside the ring you would realize that Pacquiao is a special type of person. I truly believe he was destined for greatness whether he decided to fight for a living or not. Pac will not lose to Floyd because he has a destiny that far exceeds a sport - he stands for higher ideals and symbolically represents them in the ring. Pacquiao is proof that it doesn't matter who you are or what you do, people will hate on you. It boggles my mind how someone can hate on Pacquiao. In a time where the sport is so bureaucratic and *****-made, here is a guy that fights ANYBODY and in exciting fashion. A guy, who outside the ring is not just humble and nice but is righteous like I can't believe. He handles the limelight and power he has been given like I've never seen before. Even tho it astonishing to even speak of Pac fighting the very best at 147 - Pacquiao is the **** and will smash on Floyd bc the universe just would not be in balance if someone like Floyd beat someone like Pac. WAR PACMAN!!!!
