If Johnson did fight when Tarver was throwing punches he may not have been able to last the distance. Tarver shut that part of Johnson's offense down. Tarver was throwing arm punches just to open up Johnson and then he would throw a hard shot when the opening would come. I also think that the [B]hard shots Tarver landed discouraged Johnson from opening up more.

True that. But even at that.....I figured he was like a sitting duck getting hit with punches through the gaurd. Good call though, he may have not been able to last the distance. I still think he should have tried to land more counter-uppercutts on the inside, and neglected the body work. I figured he should have head hunted because Tarver was right on his level bending over.

I personally think its pretty good. He protects himself well, but his biggest problem in sustaining punishment is his stamina.

I think Tarver has a good chin but no a great one. His defense allows him to avoid getting hit flush also.

I hope people will finally give Tarver his just do, He is a great fighter and proved it once again. Alot of you hate on him because he talks slot of ****, but he continues to back it up. One other thing, Tarver would do good at Heavyweight too. He's just that good. Props to Johnson, he is tough as nails.
