Is Kassim Ouma overrated? I personally only seen his fight with Kofi Jantuah, who from what I understand is heavy puncher, but I was looking at his record and I couldn't help but notice that he was stopped in the 1st round of one of his earlier fights by some bum who has a hideous record. I know it was a three knockdown rule and all what ended making the ref wave off the contest, but c'mon that guy who he was fighting ****** (record-wise, atleast.) Anyway, let me know your opinion and don't fill your post with b.s. talking about what he can bring to the sport, his workrate, etc..just give me the truth, is Kassim Ouma overrated? Can he really take over the Junior Middleweight division or possibly even the Middleweight division if he moves up?
Only seen oOuma fight once? **** he has been a regular on ESPN for a few years now...
Get your head into the game Jack!
There is no way he is overrated...in fact he is the type of fighter that no one wants to fight...Winky would much rather face someone else, NArd does not want to face a kid that will throw 8oo to 1K punches...he is all risk and no reward...
No way he is overated and you will be able to verify this by watching all of the big names avoid this kid.Comment

I think he's underrated. Winky doesn't want to fight him. Ouma has excellent stamina and can throw a large amount of punches. I honestly believe he can beat Winky, Nard, and Taylor.Comment

why is that? oumas defense isnt too good and it would be too guys hitting each other. i dont think it would be one sidedOriginally posted by mic573Ouma would beat Mayorga easily in one-sided fashion.Comment

Ouma's defense is much better than you think. He takes some punches but not nearly as many as Mayorga does. His workrate and fast hands would land through Mayorga's wide punches with ease. It will be a more one-sided fight than Mayorga's fight with Tito. Ouma would wear Mayorga out and stop him in about the 11th round.Originally posted by Zab Super Judahwhy is that? oumas defense isnt too good and it would be too guys hitting each other. i dont think it would be one sidedComment

Okay I agree that his fast hands would land inside Mayorga's wide punches, but does he have enough steam on his punches to make Mayorga flinch?Comment

funny how ouma doesnt get ripped for not KOing people 11of 23 i bielve yet sturm does, the man throws so many punches u would think he'd have some more KO's butmost i guess dont careComment

Ouma beats everyone at 154/160 outside of Hopkins right now IMO. I'd love to see him go up again Travis Simms (also extremely underrated) or Jermain Taylor. Those would be two excellent fights.
Hopkins is still too good at every aspect of the game for Ouma and he has the clear size advantage as well.
Wrights defense and reach would keep him in a good fight against Kassim but he'd be worn out by the end of the fight and the accumulation of punches would take their toll. Ouma UD Wright.
And to answer the initial question, no I don't think Ouma is overrated.Comment
