I think so, Cotto was very competitive the first 3 rounds against a very fast fighter like Manny. While Mosley he wasn't all that competitive except in the 2nd round when he landed those nice shots on Floyd. Other then that Mosley was too afraid to let his hands go. I know Floyd was one of the reasons he was afraid, because Floyd kept countering him. But Cotto was letting his hands go even though he got countered because of it sometimes.

Mosley had never been beaten down. Cotto was beaten down with bricks to the point where the poor guy had to take a knee.

I like Cottos heart more than Mosleys. If Cotto had fought Floyd, and Floyd schooled him. Cotto would have still went out trying to win by throwing punches. Can't win a fight if you won't pull the trigger because you're afraid of counters. I can't stand fighters like Mosley and Clottey, they care more about not being knocked out then they do about trying to win a fight. Maybe you do get knocked out or stopped if you let your hands go, or better yet atleast you give yourself a chance at winning the fight if you let your hands go.

I honestly think they're about even. I wouldn't argue with whoever you want to put ahead.

I think Cotto had more rhythm despite the the outcome. He had fluidity and pace.

cotto had better stamina and was able to get on his bicycle, mosley looked like he finished a marathon after the 2nd round. 38 and a year and a half lay off will do that to you.

Too close to call.. Prior to stepping in the ring I would have said Mosley but he looked really bad against Mayweather. Then again I picked Cotto to beat Pac.

I wonder what a Cotto Mosley rematch would look like at this point.

Cotto looked better and was still boxing in the late rounds.

                  BUT

Floyd and Pac fought differently. I believe Shane was kept quiet by Floyds shots and defence, whereas Pac was letting Cotto land jabs and body shots throughout the fight, so maybe he looked better.

I'd pick Cotto to win that fight again, though I'm not sure if Cotto gets passed Yuri... Mosley is there to be hit, Yuri is not. Stylistically, Yuri is a harder fight for Cotto in my opinion. Will see though.
