Pac has more leverage in the Floyd negotiations than most people realize he does.

being your own promoter has its advantages and disadvantages.

it's like the difference between working for a company and owning your own business.

just because you own your own business doesn't necessarily mean you are making more money.

being your own promoter has its own costs.

besides mayweather technically is being promoted by golden boy. they don't work for free for him.

not bickering. i just find it funny.

mayweather made more money with the mosley fight than pacquiao did against clottey.

mayweather-mosley did twice the ppv numbers.

even with mosley getting a bigger piece than clottey got , i'm sure mayweather still made more money than pacquiao did.

i don't understand the need to put up 2 different sets of numbers.

I just want to see these mofo's fight.

I am tired of talking about who is the bigger draw, who should get more, who needs who more. PPV numbers and all that bull****. To me all that is just building an excuse on not to make the fight.

          Just fight dammit...

I could careless if Floyd gets 99% of the split and Pac gets 1%. Just make the fight.

But, I do think there are a small group of Floyd fans who would go suicidal if Floyd gets the lesser split. They would rather Floyd get the bigger split than win the fight. It is laughable sometimes with his fans.

None if you realistically think about it.

Pac on the other hand has options in the Arum stable. Sure I wouldn’t care for a Pac vs Margorito, or Pac vs Cotto II or Pac vs Foreman but they are realistic possibilities and they sure can’t be worse than Pac vs Clottey. All these fights can be made easily being that they are all Arum’s fighters and will get made if Floyd vs Pac doesn’t happen. Floyd on the other hand wouldn’t have a viable dance partner that meets his criteria of star power and financial incentive.

Pac , Arum and Roach can and will walk away and go to the other options, however I don’t see Floyd with anyone viable to replace Pac with that meets his standards. What do you guys think?
berto, martinez, paul williams are actually beter fights than what pac can do. Plus floyd could just harass the hell outta margarito etc.

FLOYD WILL MAKE BIG MONEY REGARDLESS, HE WILL MAKE MORE THAN FLOYD IF HE FOUGHT A BUM. Pac will be seen as ducking and all ittakes is for mayweather or ellerbe to point out how pac keeps fighting top rank guys. That along with the test ducking would make pac look bad.

Mayweather Promotions is no different from MP Promotions or Winky Wright Promotions. They are all shell companies that fighters have to get deductions from the money that they pay to the IRS. Other than Floyd himself, who are the other fighters that he promoted?? Had Mayweather promotions actually had a fight card? I mean at least Hatton Promotions actually promotes fight cards in England. The same goes to MP Promotion's in Dubai (which was cancelled), and in the Philippines...

Dont be fooled.. Mayweather is a Golden Boy fighter...

I'm sure Pac does, he's The Fighter Of The Decade and Floyd is very jealous of it.

no he is promoted by mayweather promotions. I'm sure floyd and his lawyers made a smart deal. whatever they put out they get back when the final ppv #'s are in.

He did just make more than 3x the money shane, one of GBP partners, made in his last fight.

I get what you are saying about the different #'s but it reflects the difference between the two. floyd is at the top of his ship. Bob is at the top of Manny's. And that's no diss to Manny.

you guys need to stop looking at the promoter/fighter relationship as purely a boss/employee type relationship.

in some ways it is or can be......

i look at the promoter/fighter relationship as partially similar to an agent/athlete relationship.

Floyd will make $20 mil a fight regardless of who he fights. Floyd has many more interesting and attractive options than Pac does. You can say what you want about spending, he has a lot more of it to spend than Pac does. Maybe pac's dollars are worth more in the Phillipines but he doesn't make as much as Floyd per fight.

That is unbiased truth on the matter that cannot be slanted.

if no Floyd vs Manny would the public rather see

Manny vs. Cotto or Margarito or Floyd vs. Martinez or P-Will?
