should both be doing a Floyd Mayweather fight. You either have to put Max in place of Merchant or Lennox in place of Steward but you cant have both of them. Its funny how some fans & writers try to say that Floyd is HBO's baby when really Merchant & Steward rip Floyd non stop. I cant even watch the Floyd-Mosley fight from HBO because its so negative from them. All they do in all of his fights is diss him & take credit away when they dont act like that when anyone else fights. It wouldnt bother me if I knew it was all hardcore fans & writers because we can from our own opinions but they have a huge effect on mainstream fans & media.

Yes there is a ton of mainstream boxing media. They think theyre not but if you hear them talk, they clearly dont know **** about the sport. The only 2 guys they even know is Floyd & Pac and all there info basically comes from what they hear from guys like Merchant & Steward. Then they repeat it. The **** is annoying. You dont have to sweat Floyd but atleast be fair. Max & Lennox wouldve given him his due. Even Lampley tried sometimes but was always cut down by the other 2. Then people get upset when Floyd says something bad about them.

Even if they dont like Floyd, they shouldve been talking about how special he is and how great a performance it was because the mainstream will listen to that and want to see more or really think that he is good and want to watch him. Instead, in every fight they make an excuse for why Floyd wins and acts like he's an overrated bum. Then that makes the fans think that and hurts the sport. That **** kills boxing

steward was actually very complimentary of floyd...remember, he was the guy who said the fight would be "about even" going in.....

after the fight, he pretty much said he couldn't see any way to beat floyd now, and even said he thinks floyd beats paquiao too.

I don't think Steward really likes Floyd either, but he's a lot more sneaky about it than Merchant is. Merchant said **** like Floyd dodged opponents like he dodges punches and let on like Floyd asking to be treated fairly by making Pacquiao take the drug test is out of line.

Steward has ways of discrediting Floyd. Like when Mayweather landed a really good right hand on Mosley, Steward said if that had been a punch by Leonard or Hearns he would've gotten stopped. Lol. Or it might have just been Hearns. I don't remember.

it is EMBARRASSING listening to HBO sometimes because they make it too obvious who they are going for, the Sergio Martinez vs Pavlik broadcast was just disgustingly bias as well, clearly they was going for Pavlik and it was almost as if they was trying to setup an excuse for the judges if they was to somehow ROB Martinez on the cards again

what happened to the Professionalism and the Unbiasedness? I liked it better when George Foreman was calling fights because he would call out and challenge Merchant sometimes on his RIDICULOUS opinions

I still like Lampley he still call good matches besides his little "**** ****" thing he was doing during the Pacman vs Clottey fight but he needs some better Color Commentators working with him, can they STEAL Antonio Tarver from Showtime, now that guy does an amazing job calling matches with Gus Johnson and he gives BOTH fighters credit and not just the ones he likes personally UNLIKE HBO!

I dont mind Merchant, we know what hes all about, but steward is the snake. Even when Floyd got caught in the 2nd, he was like 'oh he's not hurt'. How the **** was he not hurt? He played the win down real bad.
