I am replying to you but its a question to everyone.

WTF does 2010 have to do with racism?

I hear this all the time from different people on many different situations. The year doesn't matter racism is racism and no matter what anybody says or feel racism still exsists that is just a flat out fact. **** people have been using the years for a very long time. Just last year people saying "racism its 2009" to that I always said "Yeah and?"

by saying that i am meaning that the generation of today and tomorrow does not buy into racism. it was here before us and unfortunately is our countrys past. but people of today and tomorrow dont have that thinking, it is not in our minds that this is a racist country, we dont feel it is.

im sure it is still present in some form bur for the most part this is overall no longer a racist country

We are gonna agree to disagree. This country was built off of racism. That is how white people got ahead and it is how they are still at the top. If you don't believe it is still very prevelant then please go look at the HBO documentary "Right America Feeling Wronged" which aired in 2009.

i will be honest, people dont like floyd because he promotes like a douche bag, he is a big mouth, ****y, arrogant and the WAY he chooses to act. black or white or hispanic it doesnt matter. his post fight presser he was humble, articulate, classy and did not act like a punk. i think he would do just as well selling a fight with that humble, classy and even ****Y attitude. why be a punk and disrespectful? mose middle aged adults are turned off by that act, not by color. he should stay with the ****y, no one can beat me attitude i am the best ever, come all come on and try----hype, i think it would do better. there are white and black punks, its not a race thing it is a punk thing.---from what i observe and hear people and their perspective. i personally dont like his way of hyping fights because i think it is disrespectful to the sport.

in todays day and age with our generation, my fathers, my sons, there is no racism for the most part. of course you are going to run into racist people here and there, blacks, whites, hispanics and american indians, can all be racist. overall i am saying racism is at a minimal, i know it does exist in some form, but like i said with the generations i spoke of it is not a racist time. we did elect a black president, we stand united in todays age.

i grew up in a diverse city(cleveland) where that type of thinking just didnt exist anymore.

i think it lingers because people bring it up, keep it around and use it for excuses.....

if anything, white people are embarrassed by what went on and what their ancestors were a part of ( i am)

but those times are gone, it is 2010.

I agree that no1 likes a big mouth regardless of what race you are. You have Mayweather (African-American) but then u have a guy like Malignaggi (Italian). People don't like them for their attitudes, not their skin color. Oh and idk about that whole electing a black president stuff, ***** is just as white as he is black. Remember that.

racism still exists in this country. this is not even arguable.

however, in boxing it's all about $$$ and less about skin color.

victor ortiz is getting opportunities (even after he quit) because of hbo thinks they can make more money off him than say alexander and bradley.

it's race related because ortiz's latino heritage is what hbo is "banking" on to sell tickets.

i understand your points, and you are right it is still present, i guess i will sum it up by saying that i feel our generation of thought today is that this is not a day and age of racism. that we dont accept that behavior anymore. ever.

Please stop crying racism and/or favoritism; you were given many opportunities to showcase yourself on national TV, and you chose to stink up the joint with a series of passive, defensive showings. I have to agree with the bolded. Ishe, when you say "... don't look at me like a fighter, but look at me like a writer with no biased opinion either way..." and then follow it up with "...because I will give props where props are due.", it's a contradiction of your own words because they are your opinion, and unlike a fact, an opinion is biased to your way of thinking (although SOME may agree). You will give props were YOU feel props are due, but that doesn't mean that fighters that you don't give props aren't due them by someone elses measure. And then to go on a "rant" (your words) about other peoples opinions because they do not suit your view is not exactly unbiased. Yes, there is a LOT of ridiculousness being said, but like it or don't... they are fans, and without them all fighters would be out of a job.

You are a fighter who writes, and in my OPINION you would be better served to say "I am a fighter and this is my opinion." Otherwise, it takes credibility away from someone who wants to be viewed as a journalist with "no bias opinion". This is just my constructive critisism. God Bless.
