Khan never said that he doesn't want to fight anyone who is great until they are on the decline.

I've already heard him say he wants to fight Bradley within a year. Bradley would be smack in his prime a year from now and he's not a GREAT fighter but for the moment he's the greatest fighter in his peak around Khan's weight.

People should stop taking fighters' quotes out of context just to hate

Oscar inevitably fought older fighters due to his very young age. Same with Khan. But by this time Oscar was already fighter of the year and a recognized champion who faced worthy competition on route to being a unified champion. This guy Khan is really just a sham. I mean, just listen to what Paulie has to say about this guy. Paulie is a boxer, he knows the game, he doesn't chill out behind a computer all day, and despite his own shortcomings as a boxer, he is always determined to fight on the highest level that he can. If there is any truth about this kid khan, it came from Paulie's otherworldly trash talk.

How has anyone been taking it out of context? How is it possible to take it out of context? These are the words, right from the horse's mouth:

"I want to catch these guys when they have come off their peak."

Context being making De La Hoya money in boxing; following his percieved path of Oscar's career by fighting faded greats.

          Pretty damning I'd say.

Khan is just a bit simple and should definitely not be trusted to be interviewed alone .

                khan talks waayyyyy too much.

no point acting like that doesn't happen in boxing, cos it does. but if your going to do that, at least keep quiet about it.

Punkass Khan has no idea of what he's talking about...The only fighters that De La Hoya fought that were at the end of their careers were Chavez & Camacho(Oscar would have beaten both at their best)..Now Trinidad, Quartey, Vargas, Mosley, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Campas, Sturm, Gonzalez, Ruelas among others were at the peak of their careers.& note that even thou De La Hoya officially lost to Trinidad & Mosley(twice), in My opinion he beat Trinidad & in 2nd Mosley fight he got robbed...Whitaker was not at the peak of his career, but wasn't washed up either & Hopkins, well he's something else....

Another bs article from boxingscene, twisting words and trying to make khan look bad. To be fair, khan does make it easy because he is an idiot- but all hes saying is that he wants to fight fighters when hes at his peak. Heres the full article were the quotes are not out of context.

AMIR KHAN insists he will be ready to take on Floyd Mayweather AND Manny Pacquiao in a year's time.

The world light-welterweight champion, who defends his title against Paulie Malignaggi in New York on May 15, believes it is only a matter of fine tuning his skills before he can take on the world's top two pound-for-pound fighters.

Khan, 23, is willing to move up a division to fight undefeated Mayweather, who cruised to a unanimous points verdict over Sugar Shane Mosley in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The Bolton basher said: "In 12 months from now, I will be ready for Manny and Floyd Mayweather Junior."

Mayweather and Pacquiao were due to fight this year before rows over drug testing got in the way.

But Khan has no doubt the money-spinning bout will go ahead.

He added: "I know them both well and they both want to fight.

"It's the promoters trying to sort out all the details that are holding it up. Who would win? That's a tough one but I'd say Manny. He's more aggressive and I think he'd take Mayweather into an uncomfortable zone where he hasn't been for a very long time.

"Floyd likes to control a fight but so does Manny and he has a higher work rate. If things go well, I could end up fighting the winner.

"This game's all about timing. You have to know the best time to have these big fights. I want to catch these guys when they have come off their peak."
