Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Admits To Targeting Fights With Less Risk?

A few days ago, we ran a story with a partial quote from WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan. In the quote, Khan made a comment about catching the best opponents when they were "off their peak." The comment caused a lot of controversy because Khan was basically stating that he wanted to fight the best boxers when they were easier to beat. He didn't want to fight these guys when they were at their best. [Click Here To Read More]

This is not a good look for amir..

I hope pauli manages to knock him out now (as unlikely as it is).

"Oscar fought the best when they were on the decline"

Hmm, Am I mistaken or did Oscar not fight a prime Tito Trinidad, Ike Quartey, Oba Carr, Shane Mosley, Hector Camacho, Pernell Whitaker, Genaro Hernandez, Fernando Vargas and Bernard Hopkins at 160?

Oscar fought the best. Stop talking out your ass Mr Khan

          I hope Malignaggi wins

what happened to the link? it doesnt work/exist.

Anyway, I am not surprised. it became obvious when he refused to take on Maidana. Then takes on the light hitting Malignaggi, and starts mouthing off towards Mayweather, Hatton, and Pacquiao. He should start taking on fights on his level, which is a few notches below Mayweather and Pacquiao (like Maidana), and stop running after an unofficially retired fighter in Hatton.

amir is starting to piss me off a little. quartey, trinidad, mosley, mayweather, pacquiao, hopkin s,vargas,sturm...all in their primes when oscar fought them...it was only chavez, whitiker and comacho that were coming to an end. amir needs to focus on one job...paulie

Khans looking like he is only in it for the money with those type of comments.

I hope Khans atleast good enough to beat the guido out of Paulie, maybe then he wouldn't be such a rat-faced douche-bag.
