I just can't believe Amir's comments though, I am not a fan of Oscar but one thing you can't deny is his desire to fight the best throughout his career. He won a world title in like his 12th fight and fought just about everyone he could have fought during his career. Oscar had loads of big fights, Nobody can deny that.

All the arguments in this thread about whether Oscar deserved to win various fights or whether various opponents were in their prime or not is completely irrelevant to the article this thread, is based on. The only thing that'is relevant is that DLH always fought the best possible opposition and Khan's claim that DLH waited for other fighters to decline before being willing to fight them is an insult to De La Hoya, to the intelligence of all boxing fans, and to anyone who gives a damn about the sport.
