First off you need to understand the definition of "all".

A win over a prime SRL is worth 5 of Floyds best wins. Not to mention him being widely considered the greatest lightweight ever, as well his wins over Moore and Barkley. The guy IS a top 10 ATG, to even compare Floyd to him is a crime.

If he's beats Pacman. He'll no doubt be a top 20 ATG at the LEAST. I'd have him top 10 in the later portion. People don't give either of them enough respect because their is so much hate. Forget his personality, just look at the stats.

But damn straight, if he beats Martinez at 160 he's the greatest of all time. That's just too much. That's straight amazing. It's the same way for Pac too, if he beats Floyd, then Martinez or Williams at 154, maybe even Cotto rematch at 154, then Martinez at 160, he would be the greatest of all time.

Both are extremely talented fighters. Definitely crack the top 30 atg fighters right now IMO.

It will be impossible for anybody to rank ahead of this man. IMPOSSIBLE... Who is going to have a resume like this? WHO?

Willie Pep was 62-0 at one point but he never had a win over a dynamite-prime-fighter during that span. Did Pep ever defeat a "fighter of the decade" in his career?

If Floyd gets a win over our "fighter of the decade" who is younger and still in his prime, then Floyd leap-frogs a lot of people on that top 50 list. He will have a perfect record, with a dynamite name to go with it.

I don't know where I would rank Floyd right now on an ATG list but I think he deserves to be one of the highest ranked fighters from the 90s until today, if not the highest

Minor titles don't count. Duran was a 4 division champion, Hearns was a 5 division champion, and SRL was a 5 division champion but it really should have been 4 (how can you win a Light Heavyweight title in a bout fought at Super Middleweight?).

Also, it isn't like they cleaned out all those divisions. Duran dominated 135 for an extended period of time, but he only won exactly one title fight in each of the other 3 divisions and had a bunch of losses trying to get those titles. Total record in title fights: 16-7, but only 3-7 after moving up from lightweight. SRL only won 1 title fight at LMW, 1 title fight at MW, and never actually fought at LHW. SRL total record in title fights: 10-3-1. In his whole career SRL only beat 6 opponents (Benitez, Duran, Kalule, Hearns, Haggler, Lalonde) who were good enough to win a title (Floyd has beaten 15 so far, Pacquiao has beaten 12). Hearns won a vacant title at MW and lost it in his fist defense, won a vacant SMW title and only defended it twice, and only won 2 title fights at LHW. Hearns total record in title fights: 14-4-1. Mayweather is at 19-0 in title fights and Pacquiao is at 13-1-2 while also becoming the only 7 division champion in history. I don't think the accomplishments of Mayweather and Pacquiao are in any way inferior to the accomplishments of the Fab 4 fighters.

You can't really give Robinson credit for Armstrong though, since he was a shot fighter by then and not a real contender.

                    He was the #1 contender?

Was he? SRR-Armstrong was more than 2 1/2 years after Armstrong's last title fight.
