But to answer YOUR question yes to two out of the three age does not play as big a factor in Shane's case as it does to other fighters, so I will NOT let Shane have the age excuse, he is far to exceptional of an athlete and far to accomplished as a Boxer for me to do that to him right now. And Shane has NOT altered his style to accomodate him getting 1/2 a step slower(which is still faster than damn near all of the WW out there. Come on Bruh, I was expecting more out of you!

Whats up IMDAZED? I think that Shane at this point in his career needs the BIG fight to get up for it to a certain extent. Shane is very much still relevent as far as I'm conserned. But the look in the corner that he gave is the same look of discouragement that I saw when Vernon(R.I.P.) beat him twice. It was a look like is if he wanted to say "I dont know how to get this joker, what the **** am I gonna do the rest of this fight?"

..you say you love sport of boxing...but you are blinded and I already know your pedigree and trust me, you have the wrong notion. Read your posting and analyze it.. or ask Rome's opinion.

He was badly beaten but not mentally..His approach to boxing changed though from being aggressive to sometimes being cautious, which is a good thing. Becoming a little bit a of boxer worked against Shane.
Damaged, I am not sure how you define damaged goods..but to me damaged goods are Hatton and Oscar...those two are more of a humilated and beaten up by a smaller guy..and pretty much sending them to retirement,,,Cotto however are making some changes. He lost twice, terrible beating! but still believes that he can still win...I don't call that damaged.
A lot of boxing pro wants him to retire...after 2 losses and at a young age..that is just sad to hear. Cotto is one of my fave just like Mosley..they both have heart but the difference is age..and age in boxing does matter ND mOSLEY JUST PROVED THAT.
I believe there is no WW in the top 5 or 6 that can beat Mosley except for Mayweather or Pac.Mosley is old but is still a tough fight.May is just a smart fighter Shane has never been a Clever fighter.Watching him last weekend he always fell back on his speed and athletic ability.May always fell back on ring smarts and not taking to much punishment.I don't believe it had nothing to do with age.

Agree, it's so obvious that this people don't want floyd to fight pac without an advantage first.

IMO I think you both make a good point. What Chiefy is tryin to say is that Shane would have lost to May at any point in his career because Mayweather is mentally Stonger then Mosley. What your trying to say is that Mosley would have had a better chance if he was younger you guy's IMO are both right.

this weekened to see how it turned out ..Watching Mosley for almost 13 years and got beaten by Jr by a wide margin after3 rounds was kinda odd.

                    • Gday from Australia. I'm just a casual observer of this game but to me it seems Pacquiao has fought a number of fellas who lost their last fight, fought De La Hoya who hadn't fought so low in nearly 5 years, Hatton who has been called 'Fatton' far too often in that he just never kept himself in shape enough to be the ultimate pro and Cotto who he wouldn't fight at true welterweight. On the other side is also some cherry picking by Mayweather because lets face it, fighting Marquez was nothing but a good loosener before taking on a real bout. Marquez may have been great at lighter weights but the step up to ww, he looked fat not fit.

Pacquiao hasn't fought anybody like Mayweather and vice versa. DLH seemed to be only out for a payday like hatton and Cotto was willing to drop too much to be a serious contender against a fella who can really fight. Mayweather has speed and smarts that neither Cotto or Hatton has ever had. Pacquiao has power and will like not too many before him.

If this fight ever comes to fruition Pacquiao will have to find more than a leading right with a booming left (it seems to me he steps in VERY fast on a right which is a little stinger before the left which is the true killer?) and then just going for it IF those punches work. even Clottey landed better than Pacquiao percentage wise. Clottey might have shelled up but Mayweather has better defence than that. Mayweather will have to deal with the sheer numbers from Pacquiao though, Pacman wont fold after 4 like Mosely who clearly didn't have enough in the tank after not fighting for more than a year.

And so the Mayweather Pacquiao fight depends who folds on the drug testing regime. Pacquiao is the man of the moment because Mayweather took a near 2 year retirement. Would Floyd show himself as magnanimous and say he will accept the NSAC regime? Can Pacquiao take the upper hand by agreeing to Mayweathers tests? I dotn care, this is THE fight to see right now.
