I want to see martinez with his hands down try to front Floyd like that. He gets destroyed at 154, soundly beat at 160. I like Martinez a lot but he gets hit too much and needs to take rounds off to last 12 rounds. You cant tire against Floyd.

Explain to me how he'd tire against a man who is throwing 30-40 a round?
Martinez tired in his last two fights because they are two entirely different animals than floyd. he had to stay on his toes against Pavlik, and dodge a trillion punches against williams

Today's Floyd is much better than that Floyd. Floyd then was maybe faster but not as perfect as this 2010 version of him

and martinez is awkward, and better than both of the 2 names i mentioned.

those of you that think Martinez can handle Floyd at 154 or 160, let me ask:

1. you realize martinez is a small middleweight right?
2. you realize he gets hit too much even when fighting slow plodding guys like Pavlik, and to an extent PW (average speed at best!)
3. after admitting the above, what single part of Martinez' game could best Floyd?

Martinez gets tired in almost all of his latest fights, isn't known for his power compared to other MW. his speed and being a southpaw, im sorry... watch a Floyd fight and tell me what f***ing SERGIO MARTINEZ can exploit

Well, I'm not "SURE" of it. Martinez couldn't hold Floyd's jock strap at welterweight. He's a good fighter and he's bigger than Floyd, so I can see how he would pose problems. He has more dimensions that Pacquiao (ie. ability to fight going backwards, and hit you with either hand). He is Floyd's most dangerous test.

Pullcounter, I actually agree with your post!!! I can't believe it. Martinez would be a tough fight, but if anything hurts him it would be stamina. I don't think Floyd has it in his DNA to get tired.
