Yes, smth like 60% of Swiss people speak almost the same language as Germans (the rest speak French and Italian). But for a Germany's German speaker it is not easy to understand Switzerland's German speaker. Really!
And even if the languages would be 100% the same - so what? Abraham is not going there to chat with the crowd, right?

Switzerland is really a completely different country with a different culture and different television. You can't compare the crowd in Abraham's home city Berlin and a crowd in any city in Switzerland. It's like comparing US and Australia... they speak the same language, yes. But so what?

BTW: the crowd in Zürich booed Valuev and celebrated Holyfield.
    Thanks for the info.

Yeah they speak swiss-german. Is that difficult for the native german?

And yeah the crowd was cheering for Holyfield, but Holyfield have a much better 'profile' than Froch.

    I still prefer Denmark.

      I don't consider Switzerland neutral.

The fight should be held in America if they really want to be neutral.

Well, I am not a 'real' native-speaker (but close to a native speaker). Neither is Abraham. And for me it's definitely not easy to understand them speaking.

But also the 'real' native speakers say that it's difficult. When people from Switzerland or Austria (sometimes even from Bavaria) are on German TV and speak their weird dialects, they are subtitled

Denmark would be cool as well... But if the fight will be in Basel - maybe I will be able to come and see it live

Well if I was AA I would consider the US to be a part in the anglo alliance and as such definetely not neutral.

Funny. Some years ago when a mate and I was driving through Europe our car broke down. We got help from some austrians and we simply couldn't understand what they where talking about. Both of us speak german fairly well and what they spoke sounded like german but was simply impossible to comprehend.

If Froch & Hennessy are silly enough to accept Switzerland they deserve to go out of the S6.

Make the fight in France. It's on the border of both countries and not affiliated directly with either.

I personally don't consider Switzerland neutral but its not Germany or England so it's far more neutral than them.

I don't give a damn where it happens really, just want the fight to happen.

Agua Cliente Resort/Casino in Palm Springs, Ca where Abraham Dirrell was originally planned for!

What about Spain or Italy? While I don't really know but I think there's a boxing culture there. Martinez moved to Spain to fight and I have often read stories about fights in Italy, I think Leavander Johnson (RIP) won his title there. Does anybody know if these countries would work?
