but at the same time it is not just about race, it is about STYLES!

I think Manny...well I think Bob Arum and Freddie Roach have kept him away from SLICK FIGHTERS, Black Fighters are not the only ones that are "SLICK"

    Sergio Martinez is SLICK
as mention before Paulie Malignaggi is SLICK
    Yuri Foreman is SLICK
    Lucian Bute is EXTREMELY SLICK

it is a reason why he has taken on many of the Great Mexican Fights because that Mexican style is about being a Warrior and Coming Forward and fighting...which is very entertaining but unfortunately once that style goes up against a BOXER with TRUE BOXING SKILLS or even a Boxer with More Speed like Manny, then that style usual struggles, that is why Mosley does great against fighters that comes forward because he has the SPEED to beat them to the punch and he has a GREAT CHIN
Good post, but I don't know that I consider Yuri Foreman to be all that slick. His style is similar to Malignaggi, but I don't think he's as slick as him.

I like how its mostly Floyd fans discredting Marquez's handspeed AND labeling him a "brawler", but when Floyd beat him, he beat a "technical master at his own game". **** out of here.

He did beat a technical master, albeit not a really fast one.

Not according to the Floyd fans in this thread. When Pac fought him, he was a slow brawler. When Floyd fought him, he was a fast, technical WW.

Anyone who calls Marquez a brawler is an idiot. He's a magnificent counter puncher who isn't afraid to fight so does trade with his opponent.

From what i am reading you have to be faster then prime judah to have fast hands ?? KTFO barrera morales jmm were all very fast when they fought pacquaio. Prime judah is about as fast as it gets he was visibly faster then floyd, but just because floyd has fought arguably the fastest fighter ever doesnt mean manny hasnt faced fast guys.

But apparently, facing a master counter puncher in his best weightclass = cherry picking

                    who discredited him?..
and when did anyone say he had fast handspeed when Floyd beat him..
Marquez is an accurate counter puncher with great timing,..dont confuse that with Fast handspeed..people cant comprehend **** on this board...
