He was tough, sure, but with the right tactics he could have been neutralized with relative ease. Hell, James Toney mopped the floor with him, and Toney's a former middleweight FFS. The quality is just not there, simple.
are you bringing up fights after Holyfield was shot. talk about his prime, which was 15 years b4 the Toney fight!

Lets not forget holyfield use to fight 15 rounds. One of the originals.

With a very high workrate and non stop bouncing.
His cardio was second to none

A younger Evander Holyfield would give them all they could handle, and much more. I would even say Evander would have been as hard an opponent for the Klitschkos as a prime Lewis. I say thet because of Evander's intensity in comparison to Lewis' more methodical style. A younger Holyfield wouldn't let the Klitschkos get into their comfort zone as he'd be constantly moving around throwing fast, accurate punches, and showing a willingness to take a shot or two in the process. Holyfield was a very rough fighter, coming in with the head and all sorts. Talent will only get you so far, because there comes a point in time when you meet someone who will take everything you have and come back with his own arsenal. I feel Wladimir in particular, would find a fight like that overwhelming, and would be stopped at some point.

The Holyfield who weighed a bit more after the first Bowe fight also seemed to carry a bit of extra power as well. And as we saw in the Tyson fights, he was physically very strong. One other thing about Holyfield is his tenacious attitude. Even if he happened to lose, he came back with a better game plan, and stronger, too. Look at the Lewis fights when he was older: he gave Lewis a very tough second fight. So if we're asking can a prime version beat fighters slightly below that version of Lewis [or for argument's sake on a par], then the answer has to be absolutely yes.

Probably poorly if there was random testing.

Wlad's defense might look amazing against the current opposition.

I, personally think Evander had enough fight in him to beat the Klits if he was in his prime. Evander was a warrior and we all know that. If he couldn't beat the Klits it would STRICTLY be because of their size. They do not have Evander's talent/heart.
