i think showing it in theater would only count as one buy regardless if it was packed or not. people would rather watch in the theater because it's cheaper than purchasing it to watch in their houses.

Mayweather just has his minions and *****S, but definitely "NOT" more popular than Pacquiao.
i agree. google their names and compare how many hits it would generate. Floyd fans would be surprised.

FMJ have earned more in boxing i suppose. but if you are gonna compare their bank accounts, i seriously doubt that FMJ is richer than MP. Take in consideration the endorsements of MP and his businesses and i can assure you that MP is richer than FMJ. MP is also one of the highest tax payer in the PHI while IRS is after FMJ. Do the math. FYI. Chavit Singson, the governor on Team Pacman(who owns his own submarine and a wildlife zoo back in his home) also mentioned that one more Pacman fight and MP will be richer than him.

*****s keep referring back to 2007 as if it didn't made any difference. The fact that Floyd reportedly couldn't sell more than 1.2 M buys despite the heavy promotion and marketing against Mosley speaks volume on how the economic climate has changed since 2007 and 2008-present. Not to mention that the PBF-DLH fight, which is the fight that comprises the huge disparity between Pac and Floyd's PPV numbers, happened to be the first superfight in 10 years so the anticipation on that fight was higher.

And then they keep comparing the Pac-JMM and Floyd JMM, when the fact that neither fighter were making more than 400K PPV pre-DLH. In fact I dont think Floyd had any PPV fights that exceeded 400K before he fought DLH.

Comparison should be based on what they did in their last 2 fights, and given the popularity of the fighters they fought (Cotto and Clottey for Pac, JMM and Mosley for Money) points to direction that both are equally popular at this time.

Over 2 million buys? That was a little optimistic. It was never going to happen.
