It will be considered a flop because it was the most promoted fight in history and the fact that they were predicting numbers double and even triple that......Bob Arum Str8 up siad Pac/Clottey will make about 700K and it did....but for Floyds promoter to say 4 mil and it comes back 1.2, then that is a big disappointment

1.2 seems too low.... EVERYBODY I know saw the fight, even non boxing fans. It did at least 1.5-2 million. I wouldn't be surprised if it surpasses Mayweather-DLH

we're also in a damn recession dumbass not everyone is splurging on money like this. even UFC has been doing abysmal numbers recently like 300-500k range or whatnot in some of their shows.

even floyd vs. manny will be lucky to do 2 million. and forget 3 million that's just not possible unless Tyson announces a comeback and fights vitali klitschko on the undercard and the fight is held in germany

Pac and Cotto did 1.25 million. The 'magic number' for May-Mosley is 1.40 million, this number not only breaks their record but shows that Floyd has more clout even with a lesser dance partner (cotto sells out MSG, Mosley barely fills HDC)

You shouldn't waste your time arguing with the haters on this site. If the fight does 2 million the clowns on this site will say it was a failure because Richard Schafer said it would do three million. If if does three million, they will complain that it didn't do four million as he stated it had the potential to do. You can't win with these clowns. If it did 1.2 million, it would be more than Pac's last fight. The gate was significantly higher than Pac/Clottey, even though Pac/Clottey had three times the attendance. The fight was successful, regardless of whether it did 1.2, 1.5 or 2 million.
