So if a fight ends in a 1 or 2 round KO it's exciting, but if it goes 12 it's boring?

there are 12 rounds thats exciting and boring
there are also 1-2 rounds thats boring and exciting

ex. of exciting Fights

12rounds - Leonard vs. Hagler
1-2rounds - Hearns vs. Duran even though its 3rounds

Boring

12rounds - Fighter against a man whos eating lot of punches.. i dont wanna give example
1-2rounds - Pacquiao vs. Hatton i find it boring because the moment i saw that first right hook i already knew the fight wont last long

An exciting fight is exciting, no matter how many rounds it goes. In the case of Mosley-Mayweather, the fight developed into a set pattern after 2 rounds with Mayweather dominating the action. Outside of the 2nd round it lacked drama and thrills so it's hard to call it "exciting" but most boxing fans can appreciate the skill that was on display.

So who does? I'm giving you examples of actual casual fans that showed up at my house to watch. It was a mix of all demographics. Some fell asleep, others just lost interest. They loved the red headed Mexican, though!

The casual fans I watched it with, loved the fight. He can only speak about those that he, himself watched it with. Not every single casual fan. It was more entertaining that watching Manny vs. Clottey, I know that much.

what you guys need to realize is that it doesnt matter what we, hardcore fans, think. We keep the sport relatively "alive", but it is the opinion of casual fans that keep the sport in the mainstream. and right now, they aren't too happy with what they're fed.

The casual fan will never be a real fan of the sport if they are expecting a knockout everytime...

Casual fans are what they are Casual Fans, and no fight will change that...

You find reasons to complain about a fighter just because you don't like them from a personality standpoint...


If a Boxer (Keyword: Boxer) goes in and knocks someone out in the first round, sure it's exciting for that time being

Yet, when a Boxer (Keyword: Boxer) puts on a Boxing Clinic! You act as if the fight was boring just because of the fact it wasn't an early KO...

Then people will say that a 12 round Boxing decision wasn't worth the money, yet a 1 or 2 round KO was worth the money....???? How so, because you got to see someone get knocked out early???

If you are a fan of Boxing, you appreciate all styles, so whether it goes 1 or 12, neither Boxer should be ridiculed...

I know everyone has there own preferences, but no need to discredit a boxer for boxing...


The fact of the matter is if you think a Boxer is boring, or their fight is going to be boring, then DON'T watch it and that way we don't have to hear you complain about it going all 12 rounds!!!!!!!!!!

Floyd's last 3 have been really good for me. He showed skills and defence, inside work for Hatton and finished him when needed.

He toyed with JMM, too big and his speed and range was just too much. Good to watch as a fan of boing though

This fight was also good. A nice, exciting round 2, clinic in the rest.

Boxing fans are like this, well fans of boxers are like this.

Pac and Clottey was quite boring, but Pac got **** for it. I was amazed. The man tried to be open and get Clottey to throw and he tried to make it exciting.
