Let's get this straight. Pacquiao doesn't care about MONEY!

Ricky Hatton and his eventual 49% might argue with your statement.

Money is not an issue with Pacquiao, he has more than we'll ever know or he'll ever go through. The problem is who dictates the rules: Mayweather or the athletic sports commission. I want to see the fight as much as the next person, but I think Mayweather needs Pacquiao, and no the other way around.

***There, all that fluff in one paragraph.

        So, now my response....

I think pacquiao is totally set. Money is important, but he's in a financial position that he can say that it's not the main issue. I too hope there is some middle ground that can be done. Boxing needs this fight to happen and both will feel the financial burden should the fight not happen. Likewise, both will feel the backlash for being part of the breakdown of what should have been a great matchup should it not happen.
Respectfully, you make good points. But, floyd agreed to Manny's requests that were outside the commission's rules.($10 mil per lb). Manny should do the same. If they are on an equal level, they should both agree to the demands.

He did beat the crap out of their president though, that was part of a totally different deal. The one where Pac took the smaller cut and accepted to move up 12 pounds while Oscar was moving down 3 pounds.
Oscar wouldn't have given him the cash if he didn't see an opportunity to fight him for even more. He knew what motivated Manny. Most every fighter sells you that line of BS. Thats why I like floyd and Hopkins. They make no bones about why they fight. I prefer honsesty than that fake sell yourself for marketing BS!

It's a basic "back and forth" argument. One could counter and say that all Manny does is drop the 10 million demand and Floyd then drops the testing.

I say, "whatever", heck I don't see all the big deal in the extra testing myself, but if it's something that will impede a fight from happening then a "give and take" needs to be made. For the sake of boxing.
Be it Manny accepting or Floyd dropping the issue, i don't care, as long as the fight is signed. Imagine the hype..

Heck the hype is already there and folks IMMEDIATELY began to talk about the matchup again with fervor.

I think the blood testing is a good thing and I want it in all fights. I want to see the fight happen this year and no more warm ups. If they both take the tests its even.

Cause Pac was the one that wanted to fight for Cotto's 147 lb title

                  I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Hmm...that's weird...two people on these forums agreeing without talking smack to each other?

                  can't have that....

                  ummm you're dumb....I'm not

I was under the impression that he would care about money since he spends a lot helping his countrymen. I'm sure he spends a considerable amount of money helping out. I remember in one of the 24/7 episodes, Roach addressed his problem about his spendings, and it being a potential problem. So it's safe for me to say, sure he does CARE about making a substantial sum for future endeavors.

there is a major difference in those two demands.

If Floyd follows the rules and makes weight, he doesn't have to pay 10 million dollars

If Pac follows the rules and doesn't take PED's, he still has to have blood withdrawn.

Its not the same at all. Pac's 10M$ clause only comes into play if Floyd cheats at the scales in the first place. Floyd's demand to have blood withdrawn before the fight comes into play even if Pac is clean.

                      see the difference?
