Can anyone give at least an attempt at trying to state a valid reason why a test needs to take place?

I can see why a test was needed for Mosley,

but what reasons does Pac have to be tested for?
          There's no reason.

There's no reason why he should fight either.

Does this thread have a point?

Mayweather Snr is a coward and doesn't believe his own son can beat pacquiao. He is the most shallow man in boxing and it's sad hes got in to Floyd's head that pacquiao is a cheater. Floyd would have had no problems fighting pacquiao if it wasn't for his old man pushing for these ridiculous tests, it was HIS idea for the tests. Quite sad affairs to be honest, your own blood not believeing in you.

                of course there is...

he wants to blood drain him like he did to gas mosley by the 2nd round, mosley has never been like that ever, its like his motor engine just got turned off and he had to fight at 50% capacity, he did that for the rest of the fight

this solid theory complements your notion that mayweather has no actualy valid reason.. other unknown personal reasons only he knows about

and that reason has come to reality in their fight

lets examine some points on why mayweather wants this test

                1) mayweather clearly isn't affected by the blood test as he has shown in his fight, we know that much, this dude knows something we dont and its exactly why he keeps insisting for the test right after the fight

                2) mosley got gassed, it's a fact he was off for some mysterious reason and this has never happened b4, we also know this was the first time he had undergone blood testing so go figure

                3) pac has already had a history of being affected when hes drained

this aint nothing but mayweather trying to drain out the endurance of fights no doubt it

Larry Merchant was an arse asking Floyd about it too (about if Floyd thinks Manny's on something), Floyd took cool to answer he's not saying Manny's on anything.

So why would FLoyd still want Manny take additional tests?

Sounds like a legit question to me.

He wants to assure himself of a fair bout. Not hard to understand and nothing unreasonable about it.

I thought he answered it well. To guarantee a level playing field.
