I wanted to include that into the poll but too many options. I think Pac will have to sacrifice for the 50/50 or agree to the 60/40.

And if the judges saw what most observers did, Manny would have lost in recent years and not gotten the fight with De la hoya.

**** happens. We cant change history.
        Mayweather is undefeated.

(i dont think Castillo won the first fight but that is another story)

Koncz and Arum put the ziploc on Manny.
His only pronouncements after THAT were a carefully worded
press release on his website: and no, it did NOT read at all like
          what Manny normally writes.

Manny didn't like the USADA tests, but will put up with them.
The real sticking point is gate share and commission to TR vs GBP
from Cowboys Stadium vs MGM Grand. If Blob and delaFishnets
can pull their thumbs out of their asses, the fight gets made.

          Period.

No cut off date, they already ****ed that up and the money is atleast 60/40 now too. Floyd should stand 100% firm on this no matter what, he gives random tests or no fight...NO Test NO FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure we all knew what negotiating factor killed the fight for Mayweather-Pacquiao on March 13 and that was the cut off date. Pacquiao wanted 24 days and Floyd wanted 14.

Floyd now no longer wants a cut off date and most likely won't agree to a 50/50 with the purse.
And Pacquiao has changed his mind in his latest official statement that he's willing to take 14 days. http://pacman.craveonline.com/articl...ilippines-time

I'm interested to see how you all think the possible renegotiations will result in. We know these two have large egos, but this is the fight of our era (no matter what your opinions are of either fighter) and some budging needs to be made. Pacquiao changing his mind has given me some hope.

This is just a prediction thread.

Will they agree to the 14 day cut off? No cut offs?

              Also:
Do you think it will be 50/50? 60/40?
Where will the fight be located? Vegas? Texas?
Will the $10 million weight penalty still be in the contract?

Or will the fight never happen? And Arum screws us all?
i dont think the fight will ever happen, arum will **** it up like u say. pac is just 31, arum doesnt want to risk his status and money making ability by putting him in there with someone who could beat him.

the purse should be 50/50, i dont know about the venue though. im not sure the mgm or the thomas & mack centre holds enough ppl for an event like this, at the same time the casinos will pay ALOT of money to host the fight so who knows.

the cut of date should be 14 at most, pac gave blood 12 days before his fight with hatton so how can 14 days be too little time?

Floyd was trying to compromise then because he wanted the fight badly, thats not what he asked for at first. The pendulum has shifted now, random or no fight.

Seriously, Manny should have just gone with the "my feets itches" excuse as he did after JMM #1. Would have saved us alot of bickering.
It's not like Pacquiao is the only who one makes excuses. Floyd rejected to step in the ring with Cotto because "he lives in Puerto Rico, so we are not fighting for the boxing fans who the best is" "and he must realize, that he's with Bob Arum, he's a grumpy old man"

Floyd interview with Brian Kenny back in 2006:

"well, you got to realize Brian Kenny, I don't make the rules in boxing, all i do is to beat the opponents they put in front of me, I'm not the judges!"

So, who's making the rules now? who's demanding random bloodtesting?

Both Pac and Floyd add these stipulations thats out of the norm. Both parties are to blame if and when the fight never gets signed.

But now that one party is willing to compromise, i hope the other does too

Post destruction of Zab? Post-W vs shane? If that was his excuse ill admit it, it is ****ing lame.

You see, asking for additional testing is not being a judge nor is it putting rules in a boxing match. It is simply a demand for a fair and level playingfield. Just like putting a multi-million dollar penalty on missed weight.
