I agree with you on this point; Ruiz has fought top contenders since he's been champ. He deserves an easy fight before fighting a top ranked contender again. I'm not comparing Ruiz with Mohammad Ali, but Mohammad Ali fought some tomato cans like Wepner,Pierre-Coopman,etc between superfights with top rankked contenders. Plus, Ruiz and King are trying to capitalize on Mcbride's publicity after he upset Tyson.

However I am sure they would have a great undercard. Although would anyone really pay for this? Ruiz always fights on ppv most of the time. The fight stinks but we might get Judah vs Margarito on the undercard (how is that for breaking news) so all is well.

But it stinks and I would predict a late stoppage by Ruiz.
Do you know something that we don't? Explain yourself .

LOL!... The heavyweight division is so poor these days... Maybe even as bad as when Mike Tyson came onto the scene!

I just feel he should keep fighting top opposition, this guy talks the most smack about how the division is piss poor and how it needs a unified champion, yet he has the perfect opportunity to make it with another fighter who wants unification (Byrd) but these 2 piss poor champiosn (I like and respect them both) wont fight each other let alone speak one anothers names. Now a Toney vs Byrd fight was going to happen so why not a Ruiz fight?

                Bombardier-Indeed I do.

Yes and I had replied, also King broke the news that negotiations are on the table for an August date for Zab against Margarito. Zab chose this route instead of fighting in July because his chances would have been against Collazo and opted out. I assume this is because Oscar wants nothing of Zab right now and is trying to ink Winky into a fight and Zab figures if he tries to pick up one more belt on the way and exceeds he has the power like Hopkins to demand everything and anything and the whole legacy thing is a perk as well. Also it provides Zab with a nice payday until Oscar wants his piece.

It looks to be very boring eventhough Ruiz is trying to make his fights more interesting. What interests me is how Mcbride will do. If he wins, what would that make Tyson look like? He was winning easily untill he headbutted him and still was winning when he quit. Ruiz will probably handle him easily though because he does well against other slow guys.
