Bernard Hopkins beat a washed up Roy Jones and moved about 3-4 spots down in the rankings...Pac beat a washed up fighter in De La Hoya and was then considered #1 p4p...Floyd should be considered the #1 fighter because he has never lost a fight...in fact he only really struggled in 1 fight, and then came back and beat Castillo decisively...Pac has 3 losses, and 2 bouts even...struggled against JMM the first time, then rematched him to only look worse in the next fight...So to answer your question no they won't rank him #1

Does that also go for Calzaghe, if he was to come out of retirement ?

You know what, I don't think it's just Floyd's performance over Mosley as the reason why he should be ranked #1 P4P. It's his behavior and principles that he shows. Boycotting these sanctioning bodies has gained him a lot of points in my book. Pacquiao will pay the sanctioning fee for a title and he won't even stay in one division to defend it against all comers and he helped Sulimain create a catch weight belt. I'm so over him already. Drop him down to #2 and put Floyd at #1.

Pac has done enough to dislodge Mosley as the no 1 welterweight. Mosley had not fought in over 18 months.

Pac is the no 1, the only fight for the ring title should be fought between him and no 2 (now Mayweather)

Mayweather beating Mosley and Marquez since he retired is not enough to dislodge Pac from the no 1 p4p spot.

No because Calzaghe wasn't #1 p4p fighter when he retired

I think it is a possibility.
Call me crazy, but i wouldnt put it past them to do it just to "force" manny into a fight with Floyd.

To me, Floyd is the best boxer of our generation, but you cant ignore the run Manny has been on.
