I was really impressed with Floyd he got up and took care of business and did not run . As much as I like manny I really don't want to see him fight Floyd . Can't think of any anyone right now that I think could be a real challenge ??? Maybe that red headed mexican kid in 5 yrs ??? Mosely luv ya but not sure you need to fight anymore , you might give Manny a good fight , but the WW belongs to Floyd as far as I can see.

He never loses his balance after he punches. He immediately regains his position and go back to defense. No unnecessary movements - very economical.

      Amazing... just amazing...
when your opponent is shot 2 **** you can afford to stand in front of him, im no mayweather hater, he is a legend and an atg...but all i can take from that fight is the fact that sugar needs to retire! he looked as bad maybe worse than he did against mayorga, great career shane, hang em up tho please! you punched yourself out in the second round!

What some people seem to fail to realize is that if Mosley had hit Pac with the shot he landed on Floyd in the second round, it would've been lights out. Seriously.

          Mosley is a BIG puncher.

I am not a Mayweather fan, but I have no problem, giving him credit for his great performance last night. The speed difference was evident, and Mosely was wound so tight, he never relaxed. When you reach this level of prize fighting you have to be relaxed in the ring, and not let the emotion of the moment overcome you. The 3 fighters in this era, who have this trait is Floyd, B-hop, and the smiling to the ring Pac. Shane also looked to me like a man who struggled to make weight, and was phsically dead after round 5. I thought he had him, in the 2nd round, with those big rights, but I give Floyd credit he recouperated, adjusted and took control of the fight. I think at 38, and a 15 month layoff, it may be time for Shane to retire. I felt going in the layoff, and age would be the biggest difference in the fight. I would have loved to have seen this fight, 4 to 5 years ago, when Shane was closer to his peak. I also believe the 2 training camps, took too much out of him. Last night Shane was the smaller man, physically, and it showed, which is something n one would have predicted! Where were his deep chest muscles, and he looked so dehydrated. Now it's time to look to the future, and make the fight. Both guys are in their primes and how often, today do we get a superfight, when both guys are in the prime of their careers? Let's not wait, 2 to 3 yeras, but demand it get made this fall! My question will be how does Floyd, who averages 35-40 punches a round, keep Pac off him, while he averages 100 and throws in combinations, not just weak punches? This fight will be a a pace a lot higher than what he is used to. I hope it gets done, because as a fan, we deserve to see the best vs the best at a time when they are in their peak, not when they are 5 to 6 yeras past their peaks, which is what we got last night. Make the fight and give us our money's worth!!!!

                My thoughts on the fight:

                1. I really thought Mosley was going to KO Mayweather in the 2nd and that $500 bet I put on Mosley winning the fight was looking pretty smart at the time, but Shane couldn't finish him off. Credit to Floyd for surviving that assault, he proved his heart and resolve in that moment.

                2. Shane didn't listen to Naazim at all. I thought Naazim would be the wild card element to give Mosley the victory here, but Shane simply didn't follow the game plan.

                3. Before the fight, I told everyone I knew that cared about boxing that Shane will never win a decision against Mayweather, and that Shane will only win by KO. I was right on that.

                4. I think Mayweather proved a lot of things in this fight. No one ever doubted that he was talented, but everyone doubted his quality of opposition and that was the one thing missing from his resume. Would this fight been different when Mosley was in his prime? Maybe, maybe not. Floyd put on a masterful performance nonetheless, and as a longtime Mosley fan I have to admit I was upset to see him lose to Mayweather.

                5. Now that Mosley has lost he should retire. His whole goal was to retire as P4P number one again, but that dream is over. You lost to the best in the world and it's time to call it a day.

Everyone should give Mayweather the credit he deserves on this one, and this is coming from someone who dislikes him immensely.

mayweather is a brilliant fighter. shane fought well but floyd is too skilled. hes going to beat pacman the same way i dont know how people cant see that. but he is im sorry to break the news pac fans but thats just the way it is. hes the best pure boxer weve seen in probally the last 20 years. hes getting older now though and its about time to pass the torch to pwill. im not even talking from a fan perspective just on some real honest **** i think paul williams vs floyd mayweather is the best fight they can make. hbo doesnt want to give williams his credit they dont like him they would rather give cabellero the crown then williams. but its nothing they can do. if he beats cintron they better entertain that fight and start putting on some real matches if they want to put some integrity back in the game

Mayweather is amazing. He adjusted to Mosley's style right after he was stunned.
