Pac couldn't knock Clottey out period. Pac doesnt' have power like that. Only reason he KTFO Hatton is because Hatton was already just about KTFO by Lazcano and had no punch resistance left. Did Pac KTFO Cotto? Did he KTFO DLH? Nope and Cotto doesn't even have a great chin. Pac's power at higher weights is over rated he doesn't have huge 1 shot power, he just has brutal assault. Clottey not only has too good a defense for that but too good a chin AND fought safe like a giant ***** and ruined the fight. If Clottey opened up like a man and fought he'd get TKO'd too.
Your reasons for Floyd fighting like that against JMM? Let me guess because he treated it like a sparring session and wanted to get some rounds in the bank to brush off his rust. Perhaps but I doubt it.Comment

good post, however i think you're bein a lil harsh on shane. he looked tremendous in his last fight, i know that was over a year ago now, but i don't think shane is the same fighter as the one who was labouring against mayorga. guess that's hard to say off the basis of 1 fight, but man what a performance. he killed margarito. looked quick as he ever has, threw excellent combos, gd jabs, was busy, tons of power. i think he may b rusty and this fight might've come too late for him, but if the rust isn't a big problem i think this will be a great fight. shane and ****m seem like a great partnership.Comment

All my points with anyone, Mayweather over Mosley. Who wants it?Comment

I don't think so, haven't you see his interview? He always look pissed and irritated because every time he proclaimed himself as the greatest he feels that no one is believing in him. It seems like he wants to force the people to believe in him. nyahahahahaComment

one thing I agree with you on is that Floyd is a ***** coward for fighting safe against a blown up JMM at 147. That was a complete joke. Floyd obviously outclassed him and I feel that the weight thing has nothing to do with it, Floyd would have toyed with him at any weight, but that's what made it so frustrating to know that if he truly wanted to KTFO him at ANY ****in moment of the fight including the first round, he could have done so. Yet Floyd played it safe and won a pathetic UD. It's still a great win because it was like 120-108 but it is just frustrating and yes if Floyd does the same safe bull**** against Mosley tonight, his legacy will take a big hit, at least with me (I'm sure with many/most others as well).
Floyd better show the damn world what he's made of, he doesn't have many fights left and Mosley is ripe for the pickens...he's not the boxer that Floyd is and was getting outboxed by Mayorga. Floyd NEEDS to put this old man away and do what everyone expects him to do, which is destroy Mosley.
One thing in favor of Pac is that while his wins might not be all that "great" against some of the fighters, he at least did what he's EXPECTED to do. Everyone knows now that DLH was drained and shot but at least Pac did what you're supposed to do to a shot fighter you **** THEM UP. Everyone knows Hatton had lost punch resistance and was there to be taken out, and Pac did what you're supposed to do to a shot fighter, he KTFO him in 2 ****in rounds. Mosley is there for the taking and if Mayweather doesn't do what he's expected to do here then he's a ****in ***** coward.see but this is the part I think you're missing. The problem is I think that Shane is exactly the same identical fighter he was against the Mayorga fight. The difference is that Shane doesn't do well against tricky fighters (the reason he'll be owned in 2 hours and counting). Margarito is the single LEAST awkward fighter on the planet, he's literally TAILOR MADE for Shane. He's a guy that comes in face first and eats punches in order to land his own. He's the most perfect fighter you can ever possibly design for Mosley literally. That's why Mosley destroyed him. Yet Mayorga (did you watch that fight? If you did you'll know what I'm talking about) fought VERY awkwardly, he used jukes, feints, awkward motions, angles and a very unorthodox jerky fighting style and defense that utterly confused and flabbergasted Shane. That's why Shane did nothing but miss all night and couldn't land anything. I feel that at this point sure Shane can keep destroying fighters at the top level even for another year or two if not more as long as they fit the mold of Margarito, straight forward brawlers with zero defense. But guys like Floyd and Mayorga will confound the **** out of him and Floyd will finish the job that Mayorga started tonight you will see...
yep, saw the fight; i see what you mean. but i dont see a direct analogy working. mayorga has an awkward, herky-jerky style. no one has really looked good against him (forrest looked terrible too) save for oscar. mayweather is awkward in a different way; his defence is superb but at times he covers up and then shane can whale away on him with shots to the arms and shoulders. he is as quick as floyd. he is way more explosive and he's more powerful. so shane being a little perplexed by the unpredictable marionette movements of mayorga is different to him faced with floyd's defence. we'll see in a cpl hours anyway.Comment

I think people are putting too much emphasis on the 41 wins. Lots of fighters have started off 41-0, so it isn't really that impressive. What is more impressive is the depth of opposition Floyd has fought while staying undefeated. Mosley is the 15th world champion that Floyd has fought. Has anyone ever beaten 15 world champions while remaining undefeated? I can't think of anyone who has.
That said, SRR is on a different level. Even if Floyd beat Mosley and Pacquiao I still wouldn't rank him above SRR. He would be top 5 all-time though.Comment

no one was saying prior to mosley destroying margarito that margarito was made for shane. that's something people just throw in the mix now to take away from shane's victory imo. kinda bugs me. shane knocks out this iron-jawed, tough, aggressive mexican who comes off a huge grinding win over cotto and people just say, oh he was made for shane. if that's the case vargas was too, yet that first fight was close. and vargas is as straight ahead as they come. and also i think margarito gets misrepresented a lil. he's an aggressive fighter sure, but ur portraying him a bit like a face first club fighter when he's more savvy than that. no defensive wizard, ill grant u, but no hittable walking punchbag either
